Big Call of Duty 4 update on the horizon

Left face and salute Infinity Ward, curators of awesome-o war game 4, as they have update plans for their epic title.

The update starts with the usual update, a switching of maps and updating playlists etc etc, but the real meat comes with some gameplay and networking updates. Firstly is 'host migration', where by before you would be completely disconnected when the host left, now the next suitable host is selected. Also, some connection issues with large parties have been supposedly smoothed out as well. Lastly, some bugs like the one with corrupt class data kicking players have been fixed.

Some gameplay elements have been tweaked, like unlimited in old school mode, larger magazines and a ragdoll cam. Sniper Rifles have been adjusted to be slightly more accurate, and more spawn points have been added in all the maps. Also, a 'bug' where sprinting was longer with different weapons has been fixed so sprint length is the same.

The most amusing new feature is an updated kill cam, which will show you exactly what killed you. Even bombs from air strikes. It will actually show said bomb dropping from the aircraft and smacking straight into your gormless face. Awesome.

Call of Duty 4 Online Fix Coming

For anybody who has tried to play COD 4 online these past few weeks, it has been more frustrating than being a one legged man at an a** kicking contest. The online network, run by Activision under the name DemonWare has been as effective as the Learning Center’s latest class offering - “How to Marry for a Lifetime by Elizabeth Taylor”. It has at times completely prevented players from finding matches or even engage in private matches with friends. When it does “appear” to be working, you can sit in the lobby for what seems like an eternity, waiting for other players to show up.

Well, the folks at InfinityWard (who do not run the network) and Activision (who does) claim to be working on the problem. The network has been sporadically repaired over the past couple weeks but then proceeds to go south a few days or even hours later. So what’s a gamer obsessed with getting his 100th head shot with a sniper’s rifle to do?! Well, wait a few more days writes user FourZeroTwo on the Infinity Ward forums. FourZeroTwo appears to be a staff member who, in a dramatic break from corporate tradition, seems to feel the customers’ pain and genuinely want to help. Of course it probably wasn’t too bright when he mentioned that the engineers who would be working on the problem wouldn’t be starting until Monday, January 7th because that was when they came back from vacation. Gee, I would hate for one of them to come home early from Graceland just so me and the hundreds of thousands of other players who shelled out $60 could actually use the game as advertised.
I’ll be one of the first trying out the network and will keep you updated. Please add your experiences below. Also, while this certainly is not as serious as, say, the collapse of the telecommunications infrastructure, just how seriously do you take it when you can’t play a game online as advertised? Rant away, just please keep it clean…

συγνώμη παιδιά επειδή έχω σκοπό να αγοράσω το cod 4 για το ps3 αφού το είχα δανειστεί και μου φάνηκε εξεραιτικό παιχνίδι θα ήθελα επειδή είμαι και τρελός με όλη την ιστορία της σειράς cod κάποιος να μου πεί τί γίνεται..με ποιούς είμαστε για ποιον λόγο πολεμάμε, ποιούς πολεμάμε,,,γενικά την ιστορία και τα γεγονότα που προκάλεσαν να ξεσπάσει πόλεμος στο cod 4 modern warfare!:confused::confused:

Επειδη πρεπει να χεις αγωνια δεν θα σου πω τπτ . Εαν σου αρεσουν οι πολεμικες ταινιες, μη χανεις αλλο χρονο, τρεξε και αγορασε το. Ποτε μα ποτε δεν θα μετανιωσεις την αγορα αυτου του παιχνιδιου

Πηγα και στα Options του PS3, αλλα δεν ειδα κατι.

Απλά βγάζετε την επιλογή 720p από το μενού του ps3... Αφήνεται μόνο το 1080p τικαρισμένο!

μια βοηθεια εκει που ακολουθας τον αλλο στο τελος που μετραει αντιστροφα 20 λεπτα και σου την πεφτουν 100μ ατομα τι πρεπει να κανω?

Προχωρας ολο ευθεια, προς το βαθος, μεχρι να φθασεις στην αιθουσα ελεγχου.

Να και ενα walk through, να σου λυθουν ολες οι αποριες.

ρε παιδια και αυτο το παοχνιδι πολυ μικρο. κανενα δεν κραταει πανω απο 1.5 μερα......
70 ευρω για 1 μερα δεν λεει....
