Publisher Microids has announced Asterix & Obelix XXL Romastered, an updated version of the 2003 game coming to PS4 in October.
The original game, Asterix & Obelix XXL, released on PlayStation 2, GameCube and PC in Europe, with the game coming to North America as Asterix & Obelix: Kick Buttix for the PS2 only.
The Romastered version (the game sees you fighting Romans and travelling to Rome, see what they did there?) will feature new updated graphics, as well as the option to switch between the original visuals and the remastered visuals. There will also be gameplay and camera updates, and some reworked animations, although all the original voice work will still be in the game.
Microids has previously published remastered versions of the game's sequels Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 and Asterix & Obelix XXL 3, and fans will be pleased to hear that developer OSome Studio is back to work on Romastered.
