Ubisoft Promises Far Cry 5 Info “Very Soon,” Is “Extremely Excited;” No Comment on Western Rumors

During Ubioft’s financial conference call for analysts and investors, CEO Yves Guillemot was asked to confirm or deny the rumor indicating that the upcoming Far Cry 5 features a western setting, and whether there is any concern about competition from Red Dead Redemption 2 (the title was not explicitly mentioned, but it was obvious).

Guillemot declined to comment on rumors, but teased “a lot more information very soon.” He also added that the upcoming information will comfort investors about the game’s potential.

The executive also mentioned that the company is “extremely excited” about the game.
