- The gameplay is basically the same as the original game. L and R control the tilting, and pressing the two buttons together makes LocoRoco jump. The object of each level is to find and eat as many 'berries' as possible to increase the size of the LocoRoco, and kill all Mojas.

- LocoRoco can now dive under the water, and make a big jump.

- Mojas are back to darken the world.

- Several LocoRocos are unlockable.

- New mini games are unlockable.

- The music evolves as your LocoRoco grows.
