It has been revealed recently that Polish developers The Farm 51 are working on a game called Get Even, which should be released on the PlayStation 4 in 2015.
The Farm 51 recently revealed some screenshots of Get Even and showcased some of the technology used in the game at a recent gaming expedition in France.
The following information is all that has been revealed at this time:
Heres what the developers had to say about the game:
The graphics of Get Even are achieved by using 3D scans of real locations and people. To develop this innovative technology, our studio works with research institutes and independent specialists. This will mark the first time where this technology is used on such a scale in video games. The technology present in Get Even by The Farm 51 has been first presented to the audiences during the French Game Connection where it has been well-received.
According to the developers, the game hopes to offer a fresh approach to game mechanics by removing the barrier between single player and multiplayer modes. This sounds suspiciously like drop-in, drop-out multiplayer that is seen in several games already available, like Borderlands. In addition, the developers mention the ability to take control of enemies previously controlled by the AI, which was a failed concept that was attempted in the game MindJack.
It is unclear at this time what type of game Get Even is. What is clear with the information provided is that the game looks to embrace a constant-online world which looks to be a theme which the new generation embraces with games such as The Division, The Crew and the Xbox-exclusive Titanfall.
Do you like the sound of Get Even? Is the persistent online world something which you would enjoy in a game or do you prefer to be immersed in a single-player game?
