To design των "ninja" μοιαζει παρα πολυ με εκεινο το πρωτο που ειχε βγει για το Dark Sector (ενα απο τα πρωτα παιχνιδια της γενιας) πριν του αλλαξουν τα φωτα με redesign. Το τσεκαρα και οντως βρισκεται η ιδια εταιρεια απο πισω, Digital extremes.

Warframe developer Digital Extremes is bringing its free-to-play ninja shooter to PS4 at launch, and in an interview with VG247, has discussed the console’s technical power and PC-like architecture. The studio also championed the DualShock 4 controller as the best console pad they’ve ever held.

Digital Extremes is bringing its free co-op shooter Warframe to PS4 at launch and it will bear negligible differences to the PC build. It is almost like-for-like and allows cross play between Sony’s hardware and PC, making for a truly connected co-op experience. The team has repeatedly stressed that it wants no content differences between builds. At all.

When asked if Digital Extremes approached Sony with a view to bringing Warframe to PS4, creative director Steve Sinclair replied, “They approached us actually, I guess it’s coming up to about four months ago. We were in our open beta and rocking the Steam charts there, and Sony got in contact with James, who’s the owner of the company and said, ‘Hey what would you think about bringing Warframe over to our next gen console?

“We had, probably, a 30-second conversation about if we should do it, “Sinclair added, and then, “[Sony] squeezed themselves to send us as many dev kits as possible and three months later we were on the [E3] show floor at PlayStation 4 showing Warframe playable.”

The speed with which Digital Extremes brought Warframe to PS4 in a playable state for E3 speaks volumes about how closely akin the PS4 architecture is to PC systems. I asked Sinclair to describe just how closely matched both platforms are in reality.

“Warframe supported 64-bit and DirectX 11 for a long time, and there’s a lot of commonality in that sort of architecture with what they’re doing on PS4. They’ve got a lot of cores on there, so, I was every surprised how fast we got up and running – I think Sony was as well.”

“When we went to [E3] and people said, ‘Holy smokes this is on PlayStation 4, it looks amazing.’ Maybe they were Warframe fans so they were just trying to appease us, but they said it was one of the best-looking games they saw at the show.

“In three months time, that’s a testament to how developer-friendly this version of PlayStation is. It’s absolutely awesome. What surprised me most is how kick-ass the GPU is – the graphics are super, super high-end.

Sony’s encouragement of a flat-development architecture seems to have ushered many indies into the PS4 fold, and the console’s technical aspects are easy to understand and utilise. Sinclair stressed that while PS3 was a powerful console it was “Byzantine”, and that PS4 is powerful yet manageable.

The studio is also impressed with DualShock 4, and this new version of Warframe will allow for gesture controls using the controller’s motion functionality – only if the player chooses. Sinclair added, “There are cool things on PS4 that we are taking advantage of. The DualShock 4 is the best game controller I’ve ever put my hands on, I’m so excited about it.

“It has touch screen controls. At E3 we showed little swipe gestures to activate your Warframe abilities that people thought was really cool. There are the ‘social features’ like the share button, all those integrated features where you can say ‘I just did this cool thing in Warframe’ and that pushes out over your network.”

Το εχω κατεβασει στο pc. Εχει ευκολα controls και μου αρεσε αρκετα η ολη φαση ''mech ninja action'' . Θα ηθελα να ρωτησω για οποιον ξερει(επειδη με ενα search που εκανα δεν εβγαλα ακρη): Πρεπει να βαλεις κανονικα λεφτα για να αγορασεις νεους χαρακτηρες ή το in-game currency αρκει γι αυτο?

Το Warframe ξέρουμε ότι είναι Free2Play αλλά από ότι φαίνεται έχει έντονο και αρκετά "επιθετικό" (εξαναγκαστικό ίσως) το στοιχείο των in-game αγορών όπλων, στολών, κλπ με την χρήση κανονικών χρημάτων μέσω πακέτων από το PS Store τα Warframe Add-Ons Packs. Τα πακέτα αυτά ξεκινάνε από 4,49€ και φτάνουν στην υψηλή (εξωφρενική) κατά την γνώμη μου τιμή των 129,99€, για τα απαραίτητα στοιχεία συναλλάγματος του παιχνιδιού (platinums) στα φθηνά πακέτα και στα πιο ακριβά εκτός αυτών δίνει επιπλέον κάποια mods / add-ons όπλων, δυνατοτήτων, κλπ

Φυσικα και αυτη η πρακτικη ειναι καταπτυστη αλλα σε ενα F2P game ειναι λογικο να συμβαινει. Απο καπου πρεπει να βγαλουν και αυτοι καποια χρηματα.
Το προβλημα κατα τη γνωμη μου δεν ειναι με τα F2P αλλα με τα κανονικα retail παιχνιδια, περα απο Forza / GT6 που κραζετε και εχετε απολυτο δικιο, υπαρχει και πολυ χειροτερη περιπτωση κατα τη γνωμη μου που την εχει γλυτωσει και αυτη ειναι το Mass Effect 3. Στο multi υπαρχουν αναλογα πακετα αλλα ειναι τοσο τραγικοι που τα πακετα δεν ειναι καν συγκεκριμενα, στο Forza υποθετω πληρωνεις και ξερεις τι θα παρεις. Στο ΜΕ τα πακετα ειναι random, δλδ μπορει να πληρωσεις για πραγματα που ηδη εχεις LOL.
Kαι για να επιστρεψω στο Warframe, φυσικα και δεν ειμαι τοσο αφελης να πιστευω οτι θα παραμεινει ετσι το μοντελο, ξερουμε ολοι οτι τα F2P ειναι ο δουρειος ιππος για το επομενο μοντελο που απο F2P θα γινει P2P (pay to play).
Απλα προς το παρον τουλαχιστον δεν φαινεται τοσο τραγικο για το συγκεκριμενο παιχνιδι.

We’ve got information to share about the plan for 11.5’s deployment to PS4!

Firstly, we are narrowing down the submission date of the build to be sent to Sony certification late next week. This build will include everything up to Hotfix 11.5.8 (https://forums.warframe.com/index.ph...8-hotfix-1158/) Based on our last update, the certification process currently takes around 2 weeks to complete once it’s submitted. That’s the best estimate we can give at this time but will update as we get more information.

Secondly, this build will contain some fixes and improvements for issues and requests received from our PS4 players. Some of these include Vauban’s Vortex crashing the game, Star Chart navigation logic, the addition of Trophies and customizable controller layouts.

Lastly, this will be our second major deployment to the PS4 platform. We aren’t anticipating future deployments to take this long – the holiday season and office closures worldwide (not just at DE) really put a dent in our pacing. Sorry for any unrest this has caused but we’ve hit the ground running in 2014 and expect to further refine and improve the update process on PS4 through the year.

Warframe fans, rejoice!

Update 11.5 is here and we have a ton of goodies in store.

Many of our players have been vocal on our forums about features they’d like to see in Warframe and the Lotus continues to listen.

On top of our 10 new weapons, weapon skins, and level expansion sets in Update 11.5,
we’ve included a brand new Warframe, fully customizable controls, and last but not least, Trophy Support!

Ρε παιδιά. Ένας φίλος έχει αυτό το πρόβλημα.

Τι μπορεί να φταίει ξέρουμε; Να είναι θέμα κονσόλας; Μόνο σε αυτό το παιχνίδι του το κάνει. Αλλά παιχνίδια που έχει κατεβάσει παίζουν μια χαρά. Δεν έχει δοκιμάσει κάποιο παιχνίδι ακόμα σε δισκάκι.

Ναι και αν έχει το ίδιο πρόβλημα, να ζητήσει αντικατάσταση κονσόλας από το μαγαζί ή την Cometron.

Όταν πάει στις ρυθμίσεις και απενεργοποιεί το motion blur κτλ που έχει εκεί πέρα φεύγουν αυτά.

Παιχνίδια αλλά που δοκίμασε του κολλάει η κονσόλα συνέχεια. Κρασαρει το παιχνίδι και τον πετάει έξω στο μενού.

Μάλλον πάει για αντικατασταση.

Χμ... τώρα το είδα. Μου θυμίζει τα γνωστά artfacts από το Xbox 360, αρχικώς είχε freezes με τέτοια artifacts και ήταν το γνωστό φαινόμενο προ τελικής παράδοσης του πνεύματος και αποχώρησης από τα εγκόσμια, μάλλον όπως είπαν τα παιδιά το υποσύστημα γραφικών έχει θέμα.
