As Milestone prepare their comeback for the MotoGP series, information has been fleeting since its initial announcement. While some
in-game screenshots have surfaced, they lacked one somewhat crucial factor in a MotoGP game: bikes. Instead, their purpose was to showcase the lovingly-detailed circuits which look sublime, but, since the models were presumably at an early stage of development, we were left wondering how the bikes would look in-game. Until now.
Well, not quite. There still aren't any in-game screenshots to showcase for now, but what we do have are some promising work-in-progress 3D model shots of a Yamaha bike. And in case you're wondering, yes the final version will sport the correct 2013 liveries, which still haven't been finalised at the time of writing.
WRC3's car models were notably improved thanks to the evolution of
Spike Engine, and a similar attention to detail seems to have been applied to MotoGP '13's bikes. One close-up shot perfectly illustrates this, allowing you to see the intricacies of the mechanics in minute detail. Impressed, we are.
Hopefully, then, MotoGP '13 will live up to, and perhaps improve upon, the graphical benchmark set by WRC3, but we'll have to wait and see how it translates in-game. With the current release slated for June, however, we shouldn't have too long to wait until we can gain more insight from fothcoming official screenshots and videos.
