9.0 Presentation
Full of creativity from the storybook presentation to the alchemy and cooking system, Odin Sphere presents an incredible gameplay experience.

9.0 Graphics
Huge 2D sprites and incredibly detailed visuals populate this amazingly beautiful title.

8.5 Sound
The voice acting is pretty good overall, and the addition of the Japanese track is nice. It sucks that the soundtrack can be so loud you can't hear the ingredient squeaks though.

8.5 Gameplay
Multiple difficulty levels, 40+ hour adventure and deep balanced gameplay mechanics makes Odin Sphere a ton of fun to play. The slowdown can be crippling, however.

9.0 Lasting Appeal
Three difficulty levels, the ability to return to previous levels, and deep alchemy and cooking mechanics makes this one to continually replay.

Closing Comments
I could go on and on about this great game, but I'd rather go back and play. Simply put, this 40+ hour adventure, with multiple difficulty levels and extremely deep gameplay mechanics is one of the best RPGs to come out on the PS2 in a while. Gorgeous to watch and even easier to get into and play, Odin Sphere is one of the gems that's been unearthed at the end of the PS2's lifetime. If you own the console and are into action or RPG's in any way, you owe it to yourself to check out this title.
