PSN Code Generator Sites Misusing Legitimate Customer Data
A few months back we reported on how to take action against PSN abusers, and today IronstarMovement.com (linked above) spotlighted the recent influx of PlayStation Network code generator Web sites that are misusing legitimate customer data.
Notoriously surfacing on both PlayStation 3 sites including the GeoHot blog and via chain letters recently, these PSN code generator sites attempt to obtain a legitimate user's PSN credentials resulting in fraudulent credit card charges for unauthorized content purchases.
If you use PSN, here are some safety tips courtesy of IronstarMovement.com, to quote:
"• Delete your credit card information off of your PlayStation Network account using the official PlayStation Web site.
• Change your email and password for your PlayStation Network account using the official PlayStation Network Web site.
• Contact Sony PlayStation customer service 1-800-345-7669, also contact your credit or debit card customer service representative.
• Check your email tied to your PlayStation Network account for suspicious purchases.
• Delete any random chain messages, even if they are from friends. There is a way to view a small segment of messages sent to you on the PlayStation Network. If you suspect a message to be a chain letter containing the hack view the message (WITHOUT OPENING IT) by pressing (x) twice on the sent user's profile.
• Block users who send you chain messages."

The most interesting is paragraph 11, to cite:

PS3's GPU 45nm redesign results in reduced power consumption
Sony said that the PlayStation 3 Slim would result in the company finding profit on the system. Despite a $100 price drop, the console's slim repackaging would not only let the hardware break even, but also eventually result in profit for every console sold. Sony may have achieved that, as we can now confirm that Sony has reduced the console's RSX GPU to 45nm from its previous 65nm chip design.![]()

New PS3 Slim is cooler and greener
Sony has released a new version of the PlayStation 3 Slim, with a revised, energy-saving RSX chip.
The new CECH-2100A revision of the hardware features a 45nm graphics chip, shrunk down from the 65nm version seen in the launch version of the Slim, and retains the 45nm Cell CPU from the existing model.
Additional tweaks to the motherboard also include the implementation of two 128MB XDR RAM chips in favour of the four 64MB modules seen in the original model. The cooling assembly of the new unit is also dialled back, and there's a different, lighter power supply contained within the console too.
All this can be witnessed in a tear-down of the new console by PocketNews.
The result is a machine that is cheaper for Sony to produce, cooler, and more power efficient. The site's tests of the new model reveal a 15 per cent drop in power usage compared to the existing Slim model, as you can see in these tests (translated by PlayStation University.

Manhunt 3 Canceled Before It Even Gets Started
http://www.gofanboy.com/go-fanboy-ne...ke-2-kills-it/After speculation about a possible sequel coming out for the Manhunt series, it appears that we have good news and some absolutely heart-breaking news for fans of the series. While Manhunt 3 ideas were being kicked around and going as far as story concepts and art, it appears that Take Two has said no."
