PS3 cross game voice chat might be coming soon.

The new revamped Sony Playstation went online recently. The interesting bit of info comes under the Playstation 3 features page. According to the official website you can talk to friends and other players in the middle of the game using voice or text. The features page also lists in-game chat for online games as a separate feature. It gives less reasons to confuse both features.

The full description as the official website puts it:
"Talking with friends or other players in the middle of a game is easy. Chat by text or use your headset to voice chat. You can also add new friends or check other player's profiles (including their Trophy collections) to know who you're up against while you're playing."

This could be a good sign that the long awaited feature might finally be on it's way.

"Please note: • Only some XMB™ features can be used during game-play."

Οτι το Uncharted 3 θα εχει καλυτερα γραφικα απο το 2 αυτο ειναι δεδομενο.Η διαφορα ομως δεν θα ειναι τοσο μεγαλη οση ηταν η διαφορα και η βελτιωση που ειχε το 2ο απεναντι στο 1ο.Σιγουρα ομως θα ξεζουμισουν κι αλλο το μηχανημα, οι τυποι ξερουν πολυ καλα την δουλεια τους

Braid Maker Shows New Title, The Witness

Jonathan Blow, creator of the hit indie game – Braid, has offered the first images of his new game The Witness.
They can be found here.
Although it’s only concept art, It does offer a sense of the style of the game if nothing else and gives us a clear glimpse into the island we’ll be exploring on this new puzzle solving adventure.

“For The Witness, I wanted to develop a graphical style that values simplicity. It would be suited to mellower environments, with both indoor and outdoor settings,” wrote Blow on The Witness website

The areas shown and mentioned are Hedge Maze, Sculptors Studio, The Compound, Planetarium and The Main Dock. The Compound contains a house, some rocks, a pond, trees and a “force field” establishing a perimeter.
You’ll start the game in a dark hallway facing a door with a strange glowing handle-panel. “Who are you? Why are you in a dark hallway? What is that glowing panel?” asks the picture’s description, so it’s already clear what the diffuclty level is going to be set at…
Jonathan Blow will release The Witness sometime in late 2011 on multiple platforms.

Splinter Cell May Have A Future On PS3

Splinter Cell Conviction's creative director, Ubisoft Montreal's Max Beland, has told Edge that future series outings could appear on multiple console platforms.

Asked whether the Splinter Cell franchise has a future on PS3 considering the publisher's increased focus on Sony's platform, Beland said:

"I don't see why it wouldn't. I'm not involved in the business deals. I joined Splinter Cell after the exclusivity deal with Microsoft had already been signed, but there's no reason why Splinter Cell couldn't be on the PS3. Conviction? No because of the exclusivity deal. I know people keep talking about maybe, maybe not, [but] at Ubisoft Montreal I haven't seen anyone working on PS3 for Conviction.

"[The next game] is open to new deals," he added. "If Microsoft wants an exclusivity deal, they don't call me, it's Yves [Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO] dealing with the business people. But yeah, I guess we could even be a PS3 exclusive if there's a deal that makes people happy there."

God of War III Could Inspire Developers to Step Their Game Up

Charles King/DCI gives his opinion on why God of War 3 could inspire developers to make better games.

"If you are a fan of God of War then you are anxiously waiting for March 16th to come around. The E3 demo was only a small taste of what is in store, and in a way a under representation of what the game truly will be like. When I saw the new trailer I was amazed to say the least. This title will go alongside other PS3 exclusives as generation defining. I'm sure gamers aren't the only ones amazed at this technical marvel. In my opinion, developers are also keeping a close eye on this game, and who knows what are going through their minds at this point and time."

Ναι καλα... με αυτο το πλευρο να κοιμαστε... αν ηταν θα το ειχαμε δει απο εποχης ΚΖ2, Uncharted 2 κλπ...που τετοια τυχη...μονο τα 1st party της Sony δειχνουν το δρομο τουλαχιστον στον τεχνικο τομεα και οχι μονο.Ενα αλλο αρθρο πιο παλιο το ειχε πει σωστα.Οτι οι dev της Sony ανταγωνιζονται ο ενας τον αλλο σε δικη τους κατηγορια.

Sony Acquires LittleBigPlanet Studio Media Molecule

Sony Computer Entertainment has acquired LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule for an undisclosed sum.

The multi-award-winning Guildford-based outfit was bought by Sony in a "strategic move to continue to secure excellence in game development for current and future PlayStation platforms."

SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida said: "Since they burst onto the gaming scene, Media Molecule have proved to be a truly exciting and innovative studio, who have proved their world-class credentials with the creation of the incredible LittleBigPlanet."

Μπράβο στη Sony που αγόρασε την Media Molecule. Είναι και δύσκολες εποχές αυτές για τόσο μικρά studio και τώρα θα έχουν πολύ περισσότερους πόρους για να βελτιώσουν τόσο το LBP, αλλά και να μας χαρίσουν πρωτοποριακούς τίτλους στο μέλλον.

Final Fantasy XIII PS3 Street Date Broken, BFBC2 Leaderboards Reset

In the UAE, the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII street date has been broken. So if you have access over there, you’re probably already playing the game.
Also, EA has reset the BFBC2 leaderboards to give everyone a fair chance. Too bad IW didn’t do that with MW2.

Activision Stock Dropping in Wake of Infinity Ward Scandal - Gamervision.com

The future of Infinity Ward might be determined in the next few hours.
I'm told by a source close to the studio that Activision CEO Bobby Kotick will address the development leads at Infinity Ward in a meeting in just a few minutes -- noon, to be exact.
It's unclear what the meeting will be about, but it is likely related to the apparent departure of Infinity Ward studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West, as discovered earlier today.
After Kotick and company's meeting with the leads at Infinity Ward, there will be a second meeting addressing the studio as a whole. The details of that meeting are also unclear.
As soon as I have more details, I'll pass them on.

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick Scheduled To Meet With Infinity Ward Momentarily

Overnight, all hell seems to have broken loose over at Infinity Ward, where some kind of scandal is brewing. We don't know all of the details yet, but it does seem like IW execs Jason Ward and Vince Zampella are no longer with the company due to some sort of human resources issue. While the gaming industry waits for more information, or a statement from either Infinity Ward or Activision, the publisher's stock is slowly dropping, which is sure to displease investors.

After stumbling upon the Activision/Blizzard stock quote a few minutes ago, the company's stock was down nine cents a share, which may not seem like a huge deal, but is still a noticeable decline. In the last few minutes, the auto-refreshing page has indicated continual drops, first jumping to a loss of thirteen cents, then fourteen, then sixteen, and now seventeen. By the time this article is published, it's likely to have dropped even more.

I can imagine that the investors are none too happy at this point, which means today probably won't be a fun day for Bobby Kotick. I know, I know, we all imagine the Activision head honcho goes to work and swims around in a pool of cash while smoking cigars and eating babies, but it's not all fun and games. We're still waiting for more information, and will surely pass it along when we get it.

Σχετικα με τη συνεχεια του playstation franchise που θα ανακοινωθει αυριο, λογικα ειναι first party οποτε δεν υπαρχουν και πολλα πολλα για speculation.
Οι φημες κανουν λογο για Syphon Filter, Motorstorm. Υπαρχουν αρκετα παντως projects που ειναι ημι-επιβεβαιωμενα και απλα περιμενουμε το τυπικο του μερους: Κillzone 3, Resistance 3, Stahawk κτλ.
Δεν νομιζω να παρεκλινει πολυ απο αυτα η ανακοινωση, καποιο θα ανακοινωθει αυριο, καποια στην E3.
