Sony Computer Entertainment has dated its European PlayStation line-up for the end of the year, confirming front-running PS3 shooter Resistance 2 for a November 28 release.

Elsewhere in the list Motorstorm: Pacific Rift's been confirmed for November 14 and LocoRoco 2 for PSP will be out a week before Resistance on November 21.

Hideo Kojima to unveil new game at next TGS



The illustrious Hideo Kojima has told Famitsu (translated by Kotaku) that he may unveil his latest game at next year’s Tokyo Game Show.

"Until the end of this year, I have my hands full with Metal Gear Online," Kojima said. "But at next year's show, I think it's okay that I should be able to announce something." The old tease.

The Metal Gear Solid creator also commented at length on the state of Japanese development versus the west. He suggested that the western approach of bringing together and funding a number of high-profile, highly talented creators is something Japan could learn from.

"If you honestly compare Japanese games with Western ones, Japan has lost," Kojima concluded. Music to Microsoft's ears, no doubt.

Konami "actively looking" into MGS4 on Xbox 360





Japanese investment research outfit Morningstar thinks Metal Gear Solid 4 could soon be appearing on Xbox 360. Is it true? Has hell officially frozen over?

The firm made its incendiary claim in a report on multiplatform release trends (handily summarized by IGN) published shortly after this year's Tokyo Game Show. A Konami public relations rep is quoted as saying "We're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360."

Konami would make a killing by releasing the game on Microsoft's bork-prone bucket of tricks, no doubt, but let's not forget that series overlord Hideo Kojima has repeatedly dismissed the possibility of a port.

MGS4 Rumor dismissed

Yahoo JP are running a story basically infering that Konami, amongst others, are aware there's a massive interest in porting Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360. However, the publishers are concious that it's a Sony game at the moment, but next time around chances are their multiformat strategy will have changed somewhat.
Despite what you'll no doubt be reading around the web later today, this isn't Kojima announcing an Xbox 360 version of MGS4…

Προκειται απλα για ΜΙΑ ΑΚΟΜΗ φορα , λαθος μεταφραση απο Ιαπωνικα σε Αγγλικα...
Οπως λαθος μεταφραση ηταν και τα 11 unannounced TGS titles , ετσι και εδω προκειται για λαθος.

Οι αντιπροσωποι της Κοναμι εν ολιγοις αναγνωριζουν το γεγονος οτι πολλοι θα ηθελαν το MGS4 στο 360 , κατι τετοιο ομως δεν προκειται να συμβει με αυτον τον τιτλο ,αλλα για τους επομενους τιτλους -οποια μορφη και αν εχουν αυτοι- θα επανεξετασουν (ξαναπιεσουν θα ελεγα ) για μια multiplatform στρατηγικη.

Επισης , στις 26/9/2008 ο Κοτζιμα ειχε βγει και ειχε πει "σταματηστε να με ρωτατε για port του 360 , εχει κατασκευαστει ειδικα για το PS3 και δυσκολα θα μπορουσε να γινει port".

Τελος , το παιχνιδι ειναι γεματο με Sony αναφορες (PS3 και PSP στο Nomad ) ipod της apple... , αναφορες σε PSone (mantis fight) και φυσικα στο blu ray.

MGS4 , δυσκολο , MGS5 πιθανο.

Launching today, October 14, 2008, and available at www.youtube.com/playstation, the PlayStation channel on YouTube will offer fans a place where they can easily access new trailers and game footage, check out interviews with publishers and developers, share user-generated content, participate in PlayStation promotions and contests, and stay connected to the PlayStation experience. More than 50 pieces of content will be available at launch, including features for SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, MotorStorm™: Pacific Rift, NBA ’09: The Inside, and the PlayStation®Network.

An evolving service, the PlayStation channel on YouTube will initially consist of a primary PlayStation channel with a regularly updated “Featured Video” and an embedded menu bar for specific games that takes users to a playlist page for additional video content. Fans will be able to customize their own YouTube playlists with PlayStation content and also subscribe to the PlayStation channel for updates. The end of the third party exclusive game? OXM and PSM3 editors give their opinion on the increasing likelihood of Metal Gear Solid 4 heading to the Xbox 360 sometime soon.

Yesterday, Yahoo JP's article contained a statement from Konami at TGS 2008 that they were considering porting MGS4 to Xbox 360. Today, that same article has been edited and no longer contains any mention of MGS4 at all.

In its place, Konami states that in the future they will pursue a multiplatform strategy.

Να σου πω την αληθεια Λυκε , πλεον δεν εχω προβλημα.Διοτι ξερω ποσο η Κοναμι εχει πιεσει τον Κοτζιμα να το κανω multi και αυτος της γυρισε τα μουτρα.Ηθελε να φτιαξει το παιχνιδι ετσι οπως το ειχε φανταστει και να τελειωσει την ιστορια , στο μηχανημα που -στην ουσια- ξεκινησε.

Ηταν το απολυτο fan service οχι μονο για καποιον φαν της σειρας mgs αλλα και για τον κατοχο Playstation.Οι πολλες , παρα πολλες αναφορες μεσα στο παιχνιδι για το playstation , το blu ray κλπ το αποδεικνυουν περιτρανα αυτο.

Η Κοναμι σιγουρα πιεζει και θελει μια εκδοση 360.Ο κυριοτερος λογος ειναι οτι τα οικονομια της Κοναμι δεν ειναι και τοσο καλα πλεον και χρειαζεται αμεσα φραγκα.2 παιχνιδια στηριζουν την Κοναμι το Pro και το MGS.Οταν ενα απο τα 2 ειναι exclusive , ε δεν θελει και πολυ.

Ο Κοτζιμα δεν θελει να κανει πορτ.Η Κοναμι θελει.Παντως οπως ειπα και να γινει , εγω δεν εχω πλεον προβλημα.Γιατι το παιχνιδι το επαιξα χωρις κανεναν συμβιβασμο (οχι κυριως λογω του hardware του 360 μην το παρεξηγησετε) και επειδη ο Κοτζιμα μας σεβαστηκε και ως φαν και ως κατοχους.

Παντως πιστευω οτι δεν θα γινει.Το MGS5 παντως ΣΙΓΟΥΡΑ (εκτος και αν η Σονυ εχει ξεφυγει πολυ σε πωλησεις που δεν το βλεπω) θα ειναι multi.

Mass Effect 2 on PS3 rumor resurfaces

Rumors that BioWare will develop Mass Effect for the PS3 have been doing the rounds for some time now. There is a new rumor on the prowl; the rumor indicates that the next iteration of Mass Effect will be coming out on the PS3. At this point it is a tossup as anything is possible with BioWare currently being owned by EA.

According to one of Europe's largest video game magazine, Gamereactor, Mass Effect 2 could be coming out on the PS3 six months after the Xbox 360 version ships. Gamereactor indicates that the source was taken from Gamespot just a few days ago before the information was taken down suddenly.

The Mass Effect on the PS3 rumor has resurfaced a number of times in the past, to be shot down by BioWare. However, with EA taking over the Mass Effect franchise, the chances are good that this series will most likely go multiplatform.

Πολύ καλή ιδέα το Mass Effect 2 στο PS3. Από 'μένα θα είναι σίγουρο pre-order γιατί λάτρεψα το 1. Και αφού μας έχουν πάρει κι αυτοί όλα τα exclusive, it's only fair να πάρουμε κι εμείς το δικό τους. Άιντε...
