αντι να ευελπιστουνε και να πιεζουν τη microsoft να τα βγαλει.

Μου θυμιζει το γνωστο ανεκδοτο του συγχωρεμενου του αρχιεπισκοπου Χριστοδουλου με την κατσικα του γειτονα.

Microsoft includes restrictions on terms of use for Xbox One, and its not all-good news

Following the reveal of the Xbox One and the recent E3 2013 press conferences, there has been plenty to say about Microsoft's stance on DRM, ownership rights and the place of a pre-owned market for consumers of the next generation.

There are, however, still plenty of answered questions about the Xbox One. As more information on the day one pre-order bundle has been revealed, we find ourselves once again lumbered with more questions than Microsoft is willing to afford to answers.

Xbox One's Terms Of Use
Perhaps the most worrying statement to be found in the Xbox One disclaimer, surrounds consumer rights after the mandatory Terms Of Use has been signed upon switching on your new console.

"You must accept Xbox Terms of Use (including Xbox software terms and game license terms), Microsoft Services Agreement, and Xbox One 1-year limited warranty. Some games have additional license terms."

"Terms include binding arbitration with class action waiver to resolve disputes."

While it is likely to only be a defensive maneuver on the part of Microsoft, it does mean that you are restricted from taking out a class action lawsuit against the company should you find dissatisfaction with the services provided.

With Microsoft requiring the console to "phone home" every 24 hours to keep the system active, this would protect the company in the event of the Xbox Live servers going offline - rendering your console inactive - or if a network hacking scandal arose like we saw with the Sony PSN in 2011, where the network was down for an entire month.

This is becoming a standard clause in many of ToS now, with Sony and Microsoft both introducing similar waivers in recent years. While the clause is a standard in the US, it can not be upheld in the eyes of EU law.

Δεν γ****αι ο CliffB λεω εγω; Αυτο που λεει ο χρηστης κατω απο το αρθρο! Κοψτε χρηματα απο το marketing. Χρησιμοποιηστε πιο εξυπνα τους πορους, χρησιμοποιηστε τα social media! Ειναι εξωφρενικο να κοστιζει παραπανω το marketing απο το παιχνιδι!

Και οχι, δεν πιστευω οτι χανουν χρηματα οι εταιρειες απο το καθε παιχνιδι, απλα εχει μικρυνει η πιτα και ειναι απληστοι. ΟΛΕΣ οι εταιρειες και οι μετοχοι ετσι το βλεπουν. Ταινιες, μουσικη, παιχνιδια, το ιδιο τροπαριο.

Είναι εξωφρενικό να παίρνουν περισσότερα χρήματα οι μαρκετίστες από τους πραγματικούς δημιουργούς (programmers, artists κλπ.)...

α στο διάολο! τον Julian "Jaz" Rignall, τον διαβάζω από παιδί!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Μιλάμε τώρα για 1982; 1983;;;;; Πολύύύύύ μετά πήγε και έστησε το γνωστότατο περιοδικό Computer and Video Games (προηγήθηκε το Zzap64!) που σήμερα επιβίωσε ως site.

Ο τύπος είναι ΕΓΓΥΗΣΗ σε ότι λέει, έχει μαθητεύσει ανάμεσα στους καλύτερους δεινόσαυρους (δημοσιογραφικά με την ΟΡΘΗ έννοια του όρου), έχει στήσει και στελεχώσει μερικά από τα καλύτερα περιοδικά για home computers / consoles και τα videogame τους, ενώ επίσης, έχει στήσει και στελεχώσει μερικά από τα πιο αναγνωρίσιμα site, όταν στο ξεκίνημά τους δεν ήταν "πουλημένα" αλλά αντικειμενικότατα (πχ. ένα από τα endeavor του ήταν ότι έστησε το ign στα τέλη 90ς).

ήτοι, εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέροντα όσα δήλωσε στο tweet του.
