Pachter: 16.3 million PS3s and 21.3 million 360s in US and Europe by year-end
Speaking to videogaming247, Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter has predicted year-end console sales figures that will serve as a sobering reminder to Microsoft that Xbox 360 sales appear to be slowing.
“We expect Sony to have an installed base of 16.3 million PS3s by year end, and Microsoft to have an installed base of 21.3 million Xbox 360s (both figures are U.S. and Europe only, not counting Japan),” he said.
The news comes following a European price cut for 360 over Easter and what appears to be a now-ended surge for the machine in the UK, matched ably by an uncut PS3.
Analysts have now called for a 360 drop in the US as an effort to hold back PS3’s tide.
Last confirmed global sales figures for Xbox 360 were 17.7 million in January. Sony hasn’t yet released global figures for PS3 sales, but the machine was estimated at 10.5 million globally in February, with the firm aiming for a target of 11 million by the end of March.

Nintendo manage to gain a foothold in the All Formats Top 10 as both ‘Wii Play’ and ‘Brain Training’ bounce back into the Top 10 at No’s 8 and 9 respectively. The only other new entry this week is ‘Dark Sector’ from D3P, debuting at No11 (No6 in the PS3 Chart and No4 on Xbox 360).

Δεν υπάρχει ουσιαστικά NextGen κονσόλα και την βγάζουν με τα portable!!!
Ίσως με κάποιο λεπτό ps3 και λίγο χρόνο αλλάξει κάτι, έχουν πολλές ιδιοτροπίες.
Και μην ξεχνάμε τι κάνει μόνιμα η vgchartz με τους αριθμούς του ps3 και του xbox στις εκτιμήσεις τις...
Πλάκα έχουν στο link σου οι αριθμοί που δίνουν για το "other" .
Eχουν Αγγλία, Γερμανία , Ιταλία , Σκανδιναβία , Other Europe , Αυστραλία, και σε όλα είναι πολύ μπροστά το ps3... ακόμα και στην Αμερική είναι μπροστά όπως ξέρουμε.
Αλλά στο "Other" το 360 έχει διπλάσιες πωλήσεις από το ps3 !!! μια μαγική παραμυθένια χώρα που όλα γίνονται
πιο πάτος απο το xbox δεν είναι όμως. Το wii είναι άλλη φάση είπαμε, το βλέπω όμως σε ένα χρόνο να περνάει απαρατήρητο.

The PSP sold another 121,000 units in the week ending April 6, according to data compiled by Media Create, down slightly from the previous week but way ahead of the other consoles, thanks to continued high sales of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, which sailed past the 1.5 million mark after just two weeks on sale.
The Nintendo DS sold just over 55,000 units in second place, while the Wii fell slightly to 44,600 in third.
The PlayStation 3 sold just over 11,000 units in that week, leaving it just 31 short of the 2 million mark as of April 6 - a target it has since beat.
The PlayStation 2 meanwhile sold 10,400 units, while the Xbox 360 sold just 1400 units, giving it regional lifetime sales to date of just over 555,000.
