In the latest EGM LIVE, Shane Bettenhausen one of the EGM editors who last week was on the Kojima podcast talks more in-depth on MGS4. How it will probably be coming in (or slightly before) March to the PS3, and more or less confirms there is a deal in place that MGS4 will come to the 360. It will be announced after the PS3 version is out and odds are it may come out 6-months to a year after the PS3 version. So just maybe Xbox 360 owners may get a chance at Snake come next Christmas. If so from what is gathered from the podcast it may be slightly changed to get the best of the 360 hardware, after all this game is being built on the PS3 first and foremost. As it was mentioned in the Kojima podcast last week, If MGS4 comes to Xbox 360, it has not affected the game’s development as a whole. Still a 360 port would be nice as all gamers would then be able to enjoy the game.
Ας μην χαιρονται ακομα οι κατοχοι 360, και το MGS2 ειχε βγει για το xbox, και παροτι ειχε καλυτερο Hardware το port ηταν υποδιεστερο του ps2, ποσο μαλλον τωρα που θα εχει να αντιμετωπισει χειροτερο hardware απο το αρχικο το port.

Met the Konami Media rep today, spent most of my time trying to squeeze out as much as i could about Metal Gear Solid. If you're interested, they are looking at a March '08 release for it. Kojima has asked Sony to delay the release in order to support Rumble and Home functions.
Aκουγεται απολυτα λογικο. Τα φετινα ειναι υπεραρκετα για να καλυψουν holiday season, αν φυσικα ερθουν στην ωρα τους και δεν υπαρχει καθυστερηση (uncharted i am looking at you!)
H ανοιξη 2008 με GT5 και MGS4 θα ειναι τρελη. Θα θυμηθουμε εποχες 98...

1) Smooth framerate all the time.
2) Particle effects are greatly improved. Whether it's sparks or rubble, whenever a Gekkou breaks something, there's a thick cloud of small stones and dust. Smoke is more prominent too.
3) Motion blur. I think it's excessive sometimes, but whatever.
4) Some very slight angle changes. For instance, when Snake picks up his cigarette.

Για να δεις την διαφορα πρεπει να παρακολουθησεις το νεο trailer.
Και εκτός αυτού εμένα μου κάθεται καλύτερα οι δεξιές εικόνες. Στην αριστερή στήλη οι εικόνες είναι πιο "ζεστες" full στο κίτρινο χωρίς φυσικό άσπρο ;) Τώρα πως το λένε αυτό οι devs και τι εφέ είναι δε ξέρω αλλά η νέα εκδοχή μου φαίνεται καλύτερη και πιο φυσική :D

Konami tells us there's nothing new until E3 2007
Contrary to what you may have read elsewhere, Konami has not issued a 'remastered' or enhanced video of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
GamesRadar has spoken to Konami, who informed us that the trailer which appeared on a new MGS site this morning, and which certain aggregate portals, news blogs and websites claim displays new visual effects, is definitely not new. Konami stressed to us that it has not released any new footage, and that we won't see anything of MGS4 until E3 2007 in August.
This 'new' footage is simply a recut version of last year's E3 trailer. Smoke effects, particles, melon physics, textures - all of these things are exactly the same in both versions, with not a hint of any retouched effects to be seen. And, anyway, doesn't Konami have better things to do than fiddle around with exisiting footage?

In fact, the only actual difference is that the E3 trailer features a credits screen with a PlayStation 3 logo, while the trailer that appeared this morning has a credit screen without the logo. Don't read anything into this, though - the Tokyo Game Show trailer we saw last September, four months after E3, also has a credits screen without a PlayStation 3 logo.
We're all rabidly excited about seeing Metal Gear Solid 4 in action, and so it's understandable that people will go coconuts over anything that even suggests to be new content. But this is not new footage, promises Konami. We'll all just have to wait until E3 to see what comes next for Solid Snake.

Η τελευταία επιβεβαίωση για το release date του MGS4 είναι για τον Μάρτιο του 2008 αν δε κάνω λάθος...
