Απανταω και εγω μετα απο 2+ μερες. Ωραια, αφου συμφωνησαμε οτι η καινοτομια δεν κρυβεται στο ποιος εχει 2 πυρηνες ή εναν, μπορει να μου εξηγησει καποιος τι θελουμε απο την Apple? Τι θελουμε για να ειναι καινοτομο το νεο iPhone, τι θελουμε για να μην "μεινει πισω" κτλ. NFC? Wireless charging? Να αλλαξει ριζικα το iOS (ειναι "βαρετο" λεει, το ακουσα και αυτο.. απο ολα τα πραγματα που μπορεις να χαρακτηρισεις ενα UI - "βαρετο"). Να αρχισει να βαζει ασυστολα features μου φαινεται δυσκολο εως απιθανο. Δεν ηταν ποτε της φιλοσοφιας της και δεν νμζ να αλλαξε κατι. Ολο αυτο το σκηνικο του οτι η Apple παει κατα διαολου πιο πολυ συνονθυλευμα διαφορων καταστασεων μου κανει (θανατος του Jobs, Maps, μηνυσεις και το σκληρο trollαρισμα απο τα fanboys) παρα ουσιαστικων προβληματων της Apple και των προιοντων της.Quote:

ΥΓ. Τωρα καθονται ολα τα ορνια και περιμενουν ποτε θα βγαλει η Apple την τηλεοραση τους, μπας και παρουν καμια ιδεα και βελτιωσουν τις πενιχρες υπηρεσιες τους. Σε λιγα χρονια να το θυμασαι, θα τα ακουμε και απο πανω.
Στην προηγουμενη σελιδα εβαλα ενα βιντεο οδηγο που δειχνει πως να φτιαξεις το Fusion Drive, ωστε να εχεις εναν SSD και το HDD σκληρο στη θεση του superdrive. Η διαδικασια γινεται σε terminal και μου φανηκε πολυ δυσκολο. Βρηκα εναν αλλον οδηγο ομως και το εκανα και η διαδικασια ηταν πολυ πιο απλη. Βαζω εδω τον οδηγο για οποιον τον ενδιαφερει να το κανει. Αρκει να εχει παρει backup απο πριν γιατι τα σβηνει ολα κατα την διαμορφωση + οτι δεν δουλευει με bootcamp.

Με αυτο το τροπο επιτυγχανεις πιο γρηγορες ταχυτητες και μεγαλη χωριτικοτητα ταυτοχρονα, χωρις να χρειαζεται απαραιτητα ο SSD να εχει μεγαλη χωριτικοτητα. Ο τροπος που λειτουργει ειναι με το να εχει το λειτουργικο και να σωζει τα αρχεια που χρησιμοποιεις περισσοτερο στον SSD και αυτα που χρησιμοποιεις λιγοτερο στον HDD. Μπορεις πχ να εχεις εναν SSD 64GB και εναν HDD 750GB και να φτιαξεις ενα Fusion Drive των 800 GB που θα τον βλεπει σαν ενα drive. Το μετρησα και ειναι πολυ γρηγορο, εξισου γρηγορο με το να ειχα μονο SSD.

The tenth anniversary of the iTunes Store is looming on April 28th, and Apple wants to do more for the occasion than treat itself to a nice dinner. It just launched an interactive Decade of iTunes timeline (within iTunes itself, naturally) to remind us how far its music service has come since 2003. While the retrospective includes the expected sales milestones, media links and plugs for iPods, it's surprisingly detailed: you, too, can learn that Morcheeba rocked the album charts when iTunes reached Scandinavia. Apple has fiercer competition these days that not surprisingly goes unacknowledged, but it's good to have at least some context for Cupertino's more recent achievements. Catch a taste of that early iTunes Store vibe after the break.
Apple confirms WWDC 2013 will take place June 10th to 14th, tickets go on sale tomorrowThis is one Apple event that's fairly constant, but the company has confirmed today that the 2013 edition of its Worldwide Developers Conference -- otherwise known as WWDC -- will take place from June 10th to 14th at Moscone West in San Francisco. In a statement, Apple's Phil Schiller says that its "developers have had the most prolific and profitable year ever, and we're excited to show them the latest advances in software technologies and developer tools to help them create innovative new apps," adding, "we can't wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X into their hands at WWDC." Not exactly a huge surprise there, but you can rest assured we'll be there to cover that and anything else the company might have up its sleeve. Tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow.

νέα Mac mini?
(τα iPhone/iPad next είναι δεδομένα, όχι για ανακοίνωση απαραίτητα το καλοκαίρι, αλλά είναι δεδομένα ως αναμενόμενα προϊόντα)
σίγουρα το νέο Mac Pro (λιγοστές φήμες κάνουν λόγο ίσως και για Mac Pro midi ή mini πέραν του κλασικού, ίσως για αργότερα)
αναβαθμίσεις στο υπάρχον hardware.
και βέβαια, Mac OS 10.9.
Γαματο και οντως αληθεια, αλλα εγω εχθες τελικα αναγκαστικα να κανω..... FORMAT (δηλαδη erase και clean install) στο macbook μου γιατι εκανα μια χοντρη μλκια που ντρεπομαι να την γραψω. (Παρολαυτα θεωρω απαραδεκτο οτι δεν υπηρχε προειδοποιηση ή τουλαχιστον ερωτηση πριν κανω την μλκια να δωσω authorization... Αποτελεσμα ο υπολογιστης να δουλευει μεν κανονικοτατα αλλα να μην ανταποκρινεται σε μερικα πολυ απλα πραγματα μου οπως (αλλαγη αναλυσης, αλλαγη desktop, καποια administration stuff οπως αλλγη στα login items , corrupt libraries kλπ κλπ). Προσπαθησα δε να το "φτιαξω" και το εκανα χειροτερα με αποτελεσμα παρα πολλα "γαλλικα" τα οποια ειχα χροοοονια να πεταξω λογω τεχνικου θεματος με υπολογιστη. Και περασα χθες την ημερα μου βλεποντας το Aviator και κανοντας clean install....Quote:

αυτο που με απογοητευσε πιο πολυ ηταν οτι ενω εκανα reinstall (απο πανω οχι clean install) το OSX δεν διορθωθηκε το προβλημα, οπως επισης και με το time machine δεν λυθηκαν ολα (μερικα λυθηκαν ομως).
Οποτε ημουν αναγκασμενος για clean install, διαδικασια που μου θυμησε εποχες windows.... και με ξενερωσε που αφιερωσα ολο μου το απογευμα για να σεταρω απο την αρχη τον υπολογιστη μου οπως τον ειχα. (χιλιαδες τραγουδια, χιλιαδες εικονες κλπ ευτυχως τα libraries των ιtunes και iphoto μεταφερονται αυτουσια με ενα μονο αρχειο, οπως ακριβως τα ειχες, με ολα τα αλμπουμ , τους φακελους, τα playlists, τις αλλαγες κλπ, αυτο να το ακουν αυτοι που λενε οτι τα ιtunes εχουν μονο αρνητικα)

Το iTunes εχει αρνητικα αν δεν ξερεις να το χρησιμοποιεις. Εχω κανει τουλαχιστον 7 format απο τοτε που ξεκινησα να το χρησιμοποιω και δεν εχω χασει ποτε ουτε ενα ψηφιο απο το play count μου. Τρομερα βολικο αν θες να την εχεις οργανωμενη την μουσικη σου. Το iPhoto δυστυχως δεν το εχω χρησιμοποιησει αλλα μου φαινεται εξισου καταπληκτικο.

Ever since Apple’s SVP of iOS Software Scott Forstall was ousted last fall, and hardware designer Jony Ive was put in charge of the human interface team, pundits and fanatics alikehave wondered what future versions of the platform would look like.
We may find out soon enough. According to a new report, which cites “multiple people who have either seen or have been briefed on iOS 7″, this year’s software update is going to be a fairly significant one, bringing a redesigned interface, and more…
9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman, whose track record with Apple intel is nearly flawless in recent years, reports:
Gurman goes on to describe the new operating system, reportedly codenamed “Innsbruck,” saying it will bring all new icons for Apple’s native applications, as well redesigned tool bars, tab bars, and other fundamental interface features across the board.
“The new interface is said to be “very, very flat,” according to one source. Another person said that the interface loses all signs of gloss, shine, and skeumorphism seen across current and past versions of iOS. Another source framed the new OS as having a level of “flatness” approaching recent releases of Microsoft’s Windows Phone “Metro” UI.”
The description jibes well with a report from The Wall Street Journal last month that claimed Jony Ive has been pushing for a “flatter” interface in iOS 7. Ive is said to be sitting in on review sessions with Apple’s human interface design team to vet new designs.
Of course, this doesn’t sound like the major overhaul we heard about earlier this month, where iOS 7 was said to be running behind due to significant changes. But Gurman says that Apple is also looking at new ways to provide information at a glance.
Whatever Apple has planned for iOS 7, it certainly has its work cut out for them. With more than 500 million users to appease, some of which have been calling for major changes for years, and growing competition from Samsung and Google, it needs to impress.
“In addition to losing the complex interface design characteristics from earlier versions of iOS, Apple has been discussing and testing ways to add more ‘glance-able’ information and system options panels, like Notification Center, to the software.
While it is still uncertain if Apple will end up including such new functionality in iOS 7, or how the Company will implement the potential addition, one of the early ideas was to implement the new panels via swipes from the left and right side of an iOS device’s display. This would be similar to the gesture on Apple’s Mac trackpads for accessing Notification Center in Mountain Lion, but what, specifically, the iOS gesture could access is uncertain.”
We’re expecting to get a glimpse at Apple’s new operating system in a little over a month, at its World Wide Developers Conference. The company officially announced last week that the conference will run from June 10-14, and tickets sold out within minutes.
Τι μανία τους έχει πιάσει όλους με το flat GUI και τον μινιμαλισμό; Θυμίζει εποχές Windows 1.0 που όλα τα κουμπιά ήταν flat, LOL.
^^ κι εγω δεν καταλαβαινω ολη την "μινιμαλ" τρελα ξαφνικα... μετα η πλακα ειναι που αποκαλουν τους iphone users hipsters κι ετσι...
Ενιγουεη εγω προτιμω να εχει η καθε εφαρμογη εναν ξεχωριστο χαρακτηρα και look, whatever.
Παντως αυτο που με ενδιαφερει περισσοτερο ειναι η επικειμενη παρουσιαση του OSX 10.9 οπου απο αυτα που ακουω υπαρχουν μερικες σημαντικες (για εμενα) βελτιωσεις ειδικα οσον αφορα τα dual monitors.
Το minimal δεν σημαινει οτι πρεπει τα παντα να ειναι flat ομως. Προσωπικα μ αρεσει παρα πολυ το UI οσον αφορα τις σκιες και τον φωτισμο. Ακουω "flatness" και σκεφτομαι το app icon του Skype. Οσον αφορα τον σκευομορφισμο δεν εχω προβλημα με τον σχεδιασμο τον εφαρμογων αλλα περιμενω να δω ποια θα ειναι η εναλλακτικη.
OS X 10.9, the next major revision to Apple’s operating system for Macs internally codenamed ‘Cabernet’, is up for introduction later this year, according to a well-informed writer. Specifically, Apple is apparently bringing more of core iOS features to its desktop operating system.
This entails stuff like iOS style multitasking that should prove functional by allowing background tasks to pause like on the iPhone and iPad. Finder, the Mac’s long-standing default file manager, is understood to gain power features such as tabbed browsing modes and tags.
An enhanced Safari browser is thought to include a redesigned backend for improved page loading, speed and efficiency, which reminds us a lot of Turbo browsing mode from the Opera mini browser…
While OS X Mountain Lion brought a number of stock iOS apps over to the Mac, like Notification Center, Messages, Notes, Reminders, Game Center and AirPlay, additional iOS elements in OS X 10.9 are focused more on system fundamentals rather than on end-user apps.
Knowledge of these tidbits came via the usually accurate Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac, who quoted unnamed sources in his Monday article.
As for the new multitasking capabilities, Apple is apparently refining the experience with iOS style multitasking architecture, Gurman writes:
He also notes that it’s unclear at this stage whether or not the feature will make the cut for 10.9′s public release later this year. OS X 10.9, he further noted, likely won’t be “an overhauled approach to how the operating system feels and functions.”
Apple could use app-pausing technologies from iOS to pause background application processes in OS X. This is significant as full performance could be given to foreground apps, which could help optimize battery life on Apple’s notebook computers.
Other features being mentioned include a Mission Control tweak so users can run full-screen apps on external monitors and keep a different Space open on a different monitor.
This will no doubt be appealing to the types who run full-screen apps in multiple monitor setups. Minor user interface tweaks are being mulled as well, but nothing too drastic.
OS X 10.9 is also believed to include Siri alongside a standalone Maps application, but last year’s management shakeup means anything on the roadmap prior to it “could have been altered,” according to a person familiar with the situation quoted by Gurman.
Apple in a press release announcing WWDC 2013 wrote it “can’t wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X” into the hands of developers at WWDC, indicating its registered developers will likely get a preview build of iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 at the conference.
According to the well-informed Apple pundit John Gruber, the company had to move resources away from OS X 10.9 development in order to finish iOS 7 in time for a Fall release. This is a repeat of 2007 when Apple delayed OS X Leopard until October because it had to “borrow” developers from the OS X team for iOS development.
Gurman also filed another report today, claiming that iOS 7 codenamed ‘Innsbruck’ will lose“all signs of gloss, shine and skeumorphism.” One source framed iOS 7 as having “a level of ‘flatness’ approaching recent releases of Microsoft’s Windows Phone ‘Metro’ UI”.
By the way, if you’re wondering about that OS X 10.9 codename, Cabernet is a superior type of red wine made from grapes grown especially in the Bordeaux region of France and northern California.
As for Innsbruck, it’s the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol in western Austria.
