PS3 Update 2.0 Details
Someone n the Playstation forums posted what they say are the details for the Playstation 3's software version 2.00 update. The update is supposed to include a slew of minor tweaks across the board, but the major addition appears to be the ability to bring up the XMedia Bar in game, which is a pretty spiffy idea.
The thing is that the tipster says the details were posted to SCEA's official press site and removed, but I can't think of a single time when Sony has posted details on their firmware updates to their press site, it's just not used that way. Also, I have the site in my RSS reader and it never popped up. I'm not saying it's not true, after all Sony's Gamers Day is tomorrow, but take this with a grain of salt.
When contacted earlier today, this is what SCEA had to say:
"We haven't made any announcements on future firmware update plans for PS3, and that list is just rumor and speculation."

το συγκεκριμενο ειναι πρωτον παλιο, δευτερον εχει αποδειχτει fake, και τριτον μερικα απο τα εν λογω features του 2 ηδη υπαρχουν απο τωρα.
εγω θέλω να αλλάζουμε χρώμα στο XMB(psp φάση) και φυσικά να μπαίνουμε στο XMB όποτε θέλουμε με το ps button,αυτά μου φτάνουν !
αν και το εχουμε ξαναπει... το χρωμα αλλαζει με τον μηνα, αρα βρες το χρωμα που θες, και βαλε στα settings αυτο το μηνα

Εκπρόσωπος της Sony ανακοίνωσε την επικείμενη κυκλοφορία ενός firmware update για το PS3, που θα βελτιώσει σημαντικά την υποστήριξη της κονσόλας στα χαρακτηριστικά διάδρασης που προσφέρει το Blu-ray. Συγκεκριμένα, ο Don Eklund, αντιπρόεδρος του τμήματος προηγμένων τεχνολογιών της Sony, έδωσε αυτήν τη υπόσχεση στο πλαίσιο του συνεδρίου HDTV DisplaySearch που διεξήχθη στην Καλιφόρνια. Παιδιά,τώρα πήρα το play και θέλω να βάλω το καινούριο firmware.Υποθέτω ότι γίνεται να το κατεβάσω στο pc μου και να το περάσω μέσω usb, έτσι;
Και αν όντως γίνεται,από ποια διεύθυνση συνήθως το κατεβάζετε γιατί στην επίσημη ελληνική σελίδα δεν βρήκα κάτι...
