Tabata: This time camping has an important role regarding the system. FFXV has a general concept of time, so if you on without sleeping the character’s performances become poor.

Tabata: It’s not extreme to the extent of a simulation game. When one day ends, that day’s earned experienced is added up, so it’s a system aware of the time.

- He confirms you can jump in the game. The battle system in FFXV is Active Cross Battle (AXB), and Noctis is the only playable character. You control Noctis because the entire battle system is built around him and how the other party members interact with him.
- He also talks about the the weapon switching too. Instead of active weapon switching during combat, it uses player settings prepared in advance. This is likely part of the gambit-like system he talked about before. The weapon used is automatic based on the conditions, but it sounds like the player has control over how those conditions are determined.
The new video was pretty good too. The game is still pretty far away, but I think he's making serious efforts to address concerns and get people excited for the game. It's really good PR compared to the normal stuff from S-E.

Q: So after all, the E3 2013 trailer was a lie? You can’t actually play like that?
A:You can fight like that. I think in the recent play demonstration we showed several techniques and functions, but at E3 last year the game was running on a prototype environment (Ebony). At TGS 2014 we showed the game running in the actual environment (Luminous). Right now we are in the process of migrating functions from the prototype into it. It will take time to migrate it all. I wanted to show footage in the actual environment as soon as possible, so I ended up showing something that is in the midst of migrating. The video shows actual footage, not an idealized version. It will become more and more advanced from here on out.
Q: Can you go into detail about the “holding down the button” issue? Is it really okay to just hold the button down?
A:It’s not that simple! (Laughs.) Yes, when you continue to hold down the guard button, you can basically auto-guard and evade, but it consumes MP. You can’t infinitely evade. You have to think about timing, when it’s a good idea to attack or evade. Also, you aren’t invincible. There are attacks you can’t avoid. In those cases, there are also essential technical evasion methods.
Q: What about attacks?
A:When you push the attack button, you invoke the standard combo. You can change the actions by using it in coordination with the directional buttons. The actions change depending on your circumstances—things like whether you’re guarding and whether the timing is right, (imagine in this circumstance: when you’re guarding, you might get a chance to counterattack or something), or if your companions are nearby.
Q: Can you change the operational character?
A:Not in its current specifications. Everyone on the development team thoroughly looked into an Active Cross Battle system that made free use of attack, guard, and co-op functions, but as a result they arrived at the conclusion that changing characters would be too difficult. In order to create a new and interesting battle system, we ended up not being able to put in the character switching.
Q: Is jumping in?
A: It is. Considering PlayStation 4 has plenty of buttons, there is an independent jump button.
Q: What about free running?
A: It’s there. Except for the character switching, everything that was in the E3 2013 trailer is still there. All the cool actions like the weapons barrier that surrounds Noctis called “Phantom Sword,” and the short warps and jumping from the Behemoth battle are in the actual game. We’ll release more information later on, so please look forward to it.
Q: What about weapon selection?
A: You set them yourself before battle. You set each weapon considering what actions you can use with which weapons. You can only determine one weapon from the ones equipped to be your main one, but that weapon will come with techniques which can be invoked at your discretion in battle. Besides the basic assault button (attack), you can invoke techniques with the technique button.
Q: I can’t tell if it’s more like Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy Type-0. Which is it?
A: We explained that when you push the attack button, you invoke the standard combo, which is similar to Type-0. Considering the battle system as a whole, however, it is different from both Type-0 and Kingdom Hearts.
Q: Is it being simplified for casual users? Is is still an action RPG?
A: In order to widen its appeal, we’re developing the game aware that anyone can immediately be able to play it, however the game as a whole is not casual. Because it’s a core game, we have casual controls. If you obtain good weapons and level up, you won’t have to worry about clearing the main scenarios.
Q: Will you listen to feedback from the demo version?
A: We want to reference your feedback during development, but how we’re going to do that is still under review.
Q: Haven’t you been poor at putting out information?
A: If our fans are uneasy about the information we have released, then our ways of issuing information may in fact be poor. Even though we didn’t have a lot of time, I wanted to make clear the current situation. In the future, our information releases might be poor, but I think we can receive your approval.

Το ζουμι κατα τη γνωμη μου ειναι οτι το περσινο trailer και demo δεν ειναι καθολου αντιπροσωπευτικα του παιχνιδιου πια, ακομα και τεχνικα θα υπαρχουν διαφοροποιησεις μιας και οπως λεει το περσινο ετρεχε σε prototype περιβαλλον (Ebony) ενω αυτο που εδειξαν φετος τρεχει στην Luminous. Αυτο σημαινει οτι μεταφερουν το παιχνιδι στην ουσια απο μια μηχανη σε αλλη μηχανη, η για να ειμαι πιο σωστος μεταφερουν κομματια του παιχνιδιου στην καινουρια μηχανη. Και με τους ρυθμους που εχουν αυτοι ξερουμε τι σημαινει αυτο, λεει και μονος του οτι ειναι 55% completed το παιχνιδι, φεξε μου και γλιστρησα δηλαδη. Οπως εχω ξαναπει δεν το βλεπω με τιποτα για 2015/early 2016, μεσα η τελος 2016. Αλλο αρνητικο ειναι οτι επιβεβαιωμενα δεν υπαρχει αλλος playable χαρακτηρας περα απο τον Noctis, προφανως ελεγχεις το party σου με καποιο τροπο αλλα οχι real time.
Υπαρχουν και θετικα βεβαια, η μαχη απο το τελευταιο demo που ποσταρε ο Roy φαινεται σαφως βελτιωμενη και πιο γρηγορη, ξεκαθαρισε λιγο το ολο auto guard thing λεγοντας οτι ναι μεν γινεται να το κανεις με ενα κουμπι αλλα χανεις MP και δεν ειναι κατι που μπορεις να σπαμαρεις, υπαρχει κανονικα dedicated jump button και τελος λεει οτι και οπτικα θα πρεπει να περιμενουμε βελτιωσεις.
Και ενα θετικο ασχετο με το παιχνιδι ειναι οτι αυτο το Q & A ειναι ισως η πρωτη φορα που βλεπω καποιον απο την συγκεκριμενη εταιρεια να απανταει σε κανονικες ερωτησεις που απασχολουν τον κοσμο και οχι σε στημενες PR χαζομαρες.

Το συγκεκριμενο demo δειχνει free roaming σε ενα πραγματικα open world περιβαλον με dynamic day/night cycle, ειδικα η περιλανηση στο δασος ειναι εκπληκτικη. Graphically wise ειναι εκπληκτικο (ανωτερο απο το Witcher 3 κατα την ταπεινη μου αποψη αυτο που ειδα) με πολυ ωραιο animation, εντυπωσιακο draw distance και φοβερο lighting . Συνεχιζω να κραταω μικρο καλαθι γιατι με αυτη την εταιρεια δεν μπορεις ποτε να εισαι σιγουρος αλλα αυτο που ειδα με εντυπωσιασε. Μακαρι να εχει την καταληξη που ολοι θελουμε και να ειναι ενα ποιοτικο open world Final Fantasy.
Με το νεο υλικο που εχουμε στα χερια μας, αν και ειναι offscreen και πολλα ξεγελανε (οπως χρωματα textures κλπ) οφειλω κι εγω να ομολογησω οτι ο τεχνικος τομεας φαινεται πολυ εντυπωσιακος. Ειμαι περιεργος σε τι αναλυση τρεχει το παιχνιδι.
Αυτο που βρισκω πιο εντυπωσιακο ειναι οπως εχω πει και παλιοτερα οι χαρακτηρες. Ειδικα οταν κανει ζουμ στο προσωπο ειναι υπερβολικη η λεπτομερεια για open world παιχνιδι. Τα μαλλια φαινονται insane.
Eπισης το draw distance της βλαστησης ειναι και αυτο αρκετα εντυπωσιακο. περιμενα να εχει τρελο ποπ ιν στο γρασιδι κλπ, αλλα δειχνει πολυ ενταξει.

Super mighty impressive overall, νομιζω απο τα πιο εντυπωσιακα πραγματα που εχουμε δει (δεν ειναι υπερβολη να πω οτι ειναι ισως το πιο εντυπωσιακο open world δειγμα που εχω δει). Αλλα, περα απο αυτα που λες, βασικα δεν ξερουμε σε τι τρεχει αυτο που δειχνουν και αν ειναι κατι ρεαλιστικο για τις κονσολες δεδομενου και του parity. Δλδ μακαρι να δουμε τετοιο αποτελεσμα αλλα δυσκολευομαι λιγο να πιστεψω οτι θα δοπυμε τοσο αψεγαδιαστο draw distance ας πουμε, ειναι ψιλοinsane βασικα αυτο που εδειξαν.
Oπως λεει ο Hakoo κρατατε μικρο καλαθι παιδια γιατι οι τυποι ειναι στην διαδικασια μεταφορας οσων ειδαμε απο την Ebony engine στην Luminous, και δεν ξερω τι σημαινει αυτο σχετικα με οσα εχουμε δει μεχρι τωρα και τι μπορει να χαθει στην μεταφραση. Φανταζομαι οτι λογικα δεν θα υπαρχει θεμα, αλλα....
Γενικοτερα παντως εχουμε πληροφοριες για οσα ειδαμε σημερα:

Your questions to Tabata
Q.What if I mash the attack button instead of holding it down?
A.Even if you mash the attack button the combo will still operate fine and connect together. It's possible to counter while you button mash; if you hold the button down you have to be more careful of the enemies movements and it's more strategic.
Q.Will Type0 HD be available digitally and will it come with the FFXV demo?
A.Of course
Q.Why doesn't the MP show up on the UI?
A.The battle UI is still temporary. When it is complete it will clearly show the MP
Q.I'm a little worried the game will only last 40 hours
A.The main story itself will take 40 hours. Beating dungeons and other actives will make the length of the game much longer
