Runic: Torchlight will “hopefully” hit XBLA and PSN “by the holidays”

Runic Games hopes to release Torchlight on PSN and XBLA bu the holidays, according to Runic CEO Max Schaefer.

Speaking with Joystiq at gamesom, Schaefer said: “We’re trying, we’re talking [to Sony and Microsoft] and we hope to get that done quickly,” adding he hoped it would be released “by the holidays.”

The Runic bossman also told the site Torchlight has sold over 750K units and is getting closer to the one million mark. Schaefer admitted the unit sales seem a bit a low, but claims piracy has been an issue, and they are unable to track just how many illegal copies have been made of the game.

Torchlight 2, which is set for release next year (http://www.vg247.com/2010/08/04/torchlight-ii-announced-for-spring-2011/) with co-op (http://www.vg247.com/2010/08/18/torchlight-ii-trailer-shows-off-co-op-mode/), will only launch on PC and Mac at first, but Schaefer said Runic will “try” to release it for consoles once the other two versions are out the door.

είναι αυτό που έχει βγει και για το PC και μοιάζει λίγο με το Diablo? Έχω διαβάσει θετικές κριτικές, αν όντως είναι αυτό θα αξίζει (ειδικά και για Coop)

Ναι αυτο ειναι, δεν θελς να σε απογοητευσω αλλα το 1 δεν εχει coop. Για αυτο το λογο ειναι διασκεδαστικο αλλα μονο για τις πρωτςσ 3-4 ωρες παιχνιδιου υστερα γινεται πολυ μονοτονο και βαρετο κατα την αποψη μου

Τα αγαπαω πολυ κατι τετοια παιχνιδι! Δε με νοιαζει και ιδιαιτερα αν ειναι κλώνος κτλ. Μια χαρα το βλεπω!

To 2 πάντως που θα βγει(Στο PC στο PSN δεν ξέρω) σε λίγο καιρό θα έχει και multipalyer κτλ και θα είναι κατά πολύ ανώτερο από το 1.

Το ότι δεν έχει coop είναι το καλό, σημαίνει ότι δεν εξαρτάσαι από τον οποιοδήποτε για να ευχαριστηθείς το παιχνίδι.

No PS3 plans to speak of. Microsoft is acting as the publisher on this one. And given how much work it was to get one console game done, I'm a little relieved we didn't attempt both platforms at once anyway

Πολύ καλό είναι το 2ο και θα έχει multiplayer σε αντίθεση με το 1ο το οποίο όντος μετά απο 2-3 ώρες το βαριόσουν όπως προαναφέρθηκε επειδή το μόνο που έκανες ήταν να κατεβαίνεις dungeons.
