Some stuff on PES7.
-The PlayStation 3 version is the major development focus, they are putting a lot of money behind it. That means both development and marketing.
-Seabass and co know they fucked up with the Xbox 360 and the DS versions of PES6, they know this and they will improve on this. I know this is pretty self-explanatory, but the developers have heard all the negativity about these versions.
-Negotiations are currently happening on new club teams being brought into the game from smaller market areas.
-When I asked Seabass last fall about why they haven't been improving the interface making it "sexier" and more modern, he said this was something they'd do and I can now confirm that revamping the look of the franchise and the interface is something that is going to happen.

No new names have been confirmed, so expect Peter and Trevor to be back in the hotseats - but hopefully with a more coherent script. Dont be surprised if you see new sixaxis controls. Theres some great news about how the PS3 version is getting on, and also tells of his own dissaticfaction with the 360 version. Definately worth a look.
Με καθε επιφυλαξη ολα αυτα.
Αν και ο τυπος που δινει αυτες τις πληροφοριες (ο φινλανδος) ειναι ατομο που σεβονται στο φορουμ απο οτι καταλαβα.
Είμαι τρελός fan των Pro...Ειλικρινά όμως αν μείνει η konami στο επίπεδο του pes6 του xbox360 θα φάει μαύρο προσωπικά απο μένα...Ελπίζω σε κάτι πολύ καλό για αυτό το pes...Βελτίωση στα γραφικά,στο online,και μιας που πήρε και τα licenses από τη FIFA να δούμε και καμιά ομάδα με σωστό όνομα:P
αν μας το αφήσουν στο επίπεδο του 6 στο 360 μαύρη μαρμάγκα που τους έφαγε!!! :shock: :shock: άντε να δούμε τι θα γίνει!
Εγω ειμαι αισιοδοξος για το μελλον της σειρας.
Το μονο που με βαζει σε αρνητικες σκεψεις για την ακριβως επομενη εκδοση του pes στο ps3 ειναι το γεγονος οτι θα κυκλοφορισει και για το ps2...
φοβαμαι δηλ οτι υπαρχει περιπτωση η εκδοση του ps3 να ειναι port απο το 2 και να εχουμε τα ιδια με το pes του 360...

There's a huge quality gap between the newest Winning Eleven prototype (eventually Pro Evolution Soccer 7) running on PlayStation 3 and the version on Xbox 360, according to a Konami "insider".
The Eastern deep-throat has made the claim on his blog, handily deciphered by forumites, reckoning that the PS3 version is 'three times better' than the 360 counterpart. But how exactly could this be possible? Surely both machines possess almost exactly the same techno-muscle?
Actually, it's not all about the size of your chips - here's how Pro Evolution Soccer 7 could conceivably reach that triple-tastic improvement between the consoles.
1 Konami knows PlayStation3 inside-out
Aside from Sony itself, Konami is one of the best developers to tackle a PS3 title. The PES dev team has been working intimately with Sony for ages, while the MGS4 team has already been elbow-deep in PS3's giga-guts for more than two years now. If anyone can uncover previously unheard of strength from Sony's console, it's Konami.
2 The PS3 pad will always be better
PlayStation 2's pad was, and still is, probably the best joypad ever conceived. And PES employed its wonderfully responsive D-pad perfectly, to the point where D-pad users will find PES on 360 feels very weird. Unless Microsoft unveil a new, better D-pad for its controller, we're always going to prefer playing with the SixAxis, and PS3's version will always 'feel' better. Probably about three times better, in fact.
3 Blu-ray can hold more gumph than DVD
And by 'gumph' we mean things like team data and animations. We can believe that Pro Evolution Soccer on PS3 might include a whole raft of extra teams, perhaps for lesser-known leagues like Argentina, or have a much deeper animation scale - especially since you can always install PS3 games on the hard drive, too. It might just be the extras we're talking about, but that's what PES is all about.

From that i guess they are saying that information about WE11 will be released on Thursday this week 17/05/2007. The post also says release 13/08/2007, and that the german league is high definition graphics (as if we didnt know that!!!).

According to the japanese forum,The "Winning eleven 11" will be released in Japan in August for PS2 and Ps3 Version.
The Wii version and ps2 will have the same graphics.no information about Wii release and Xbox 360.
PS3 Version will have a different Version and better graphics than Xbox360 version.

All international teams fully licence, F.A premier League licence, German League licence and international cup competitions licenced.
it also stated the its was to be released on Wii, PSP, DS, 360, ps2, PC and PS3. strangely the PS3 version was listed as Pro Evolution Soccer 7 '1st team edition' and had alot more features and modes listed than any other version.

There has been much speculation about the graphics in the next Winning Eleven (PES 7 in Europe) particularly the PS3 version. I'm sure that from all the news about the size of the game and how much work has gone into it we should be seeing some superb HD graphics to complement any new gameplay. Could this be a sign of what to expect? Time will tell.
Some of these links posted below show an Inter - Chelsea match with graphics that were shown exactly a year ago. We assume this was the state of the new graphics engine a year ago.

News filtering through from Spain is also claiming that the Spanish commentators have completed their commentary for the game. Its always great to hear how fantastic this game is, but for all you fans out there i'm sure you're all dying to get your hands on some screen shots or video. From all the speculation over the last week or so, most believe that information will be released before the 23rd in the Japanese magazine FAMITSU. The monthly Playstation edition of the magazine will be released on the 30th of May, however there is a weekly magazine that comes out each Friday which is also a possibility

Konami has since denied that Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 will be next-gen exclusive to the Xbox 360
Electronic Arts announced that FIFA 07 would be coming to the Xbox 360 this morning, but the news the company wanted to emphasize was what will be running the game--the game's new engine.
The system has taken two years to develop and represents what the company says is the 'single largest investment EA has ever made in the football business'. Innovations include independent ball physics, which EA claims will create unpredictable gameplay, and players that can be recognised by their individual traits and styles of movement.
Andrew Wilson, senior producer for FIFA 07 at EA, said, 'Get ready for the first real next-gen football experience. FIFA 07 on Xbox 360 will deliver athletes that move as fluidly, as realistically, and as intuitively as athletes in real life'.
In related news, Microsoft has confirmed to GameSpot that the Xbox 360 will be the exclusive next-generation home for both FIFA 07 and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (titled Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the US) for the next 12 months. Προς το παρων βεβαια παιζω στο pc pes6 με joysticks psx.. :p

Θυμαμαι που ειχαμε κανει μια συζητηση για το pes στο insomnia και οτι επαιζες με χειριστηρια του ps.

oντως,εχεις δικιο.Τα δαχτυλα πηγαινουν αυτοματα στα κουμπια.:)
Η πλακα ειναι οτι οταν με ειχε ρωτησει ενα φιλος πιο ειναι το κουμπι για το τρεξιμο,κολλησα γιατι δεν θυμομουν αν ειναι το R1 η το L1!
Εγω βεβαια πανω στο παιχνιδι εννοειτε οτι παταγα παντα το R1...
Για τετοιους αυτοματισμους μιλαμε :p

Θα ηθελα παντος να ηταν λιγο ποιο βαρυ το κοντρολ του ps3 και να ειχε δονηση ομως. Το αλλο που δεν μπορω να συνηθησω με τιποτα ειναι η σκανδαλι απο κατω που κανεις τις "κοφτες" κινησης στο pro. Μιλαω μονο για το pro ομως. Σε πολλα αλλα παιχνιδια χρισιμευη παρα πολυ η σκανδαλι. Τωρα αυτο που αναρωτιεμαι ειναι οτι και το ps3 εχει σκανδαλι αλλα ποιο μικρη. Πιστευω να το συνηθησουμε...

λιγο πολυ οτι λεγαμε και στις προηγουμενες σελιδες ισχυουν και για εδω.
Το νεα ειναι οτι για πρωτη φορα στις ιστορια της σειρας(αν δεν κανω λαθος)θα κυκλοφορισει πρωτα το pes και μετα το WE!
και το σημαντικοτερο ειναι οτι την αλλη εβδομαδα,πιθανοτατα θα εχουμε περισσοτερα νεα καθως και εικονες απο το παιχνιδι!! :)

Konami Unveils Pro Evo 2008
Konami has lifted the lid on the first details for the next Pro Evo game and has promised that it will be "the closest simulation of real football to date." Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (working title) will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP and DS later this year and boasts what Konami is calling "a revolution in player artificial intelligence" -- dubbed Teamvision, which enables the opposition to learn your style of player and adapt their tactics accordingly.
According to Konami, Teamvision will totally change the way PES fans play the game, because the adaptive AI forces players to constantly rethink their tactics. So, for example, if you prefer to run the ball down the wing and knock in a cross to a tall centre forward like Peter Crouch, your opponent will quickly change their tactics to close down the wide players and mark your hitmen more heavily. Similarly, if your favoured method of defence is to protect the back four with a sweeper -- then the other team will quickly pick up on this and change their attackers to take advantage of your formation.
Naturally the effectiveness of an opponent's change in tactics depends on the team they're playing as: strong international and club squads will be able to counter your tactics faster and more effectively than less skilled clubs, although players will still notice the change in their opponents play if they resort to using the same channels of attack. Likewise, powerful teams can also punish lazy tactical play to devastating effect, so if you lose the ball in your half to Robbie Keane there's a good chance he'll score. However, lose out to a less proficient striker and the odds of them converting the shot are less favourable.
The improved AI changes the way the game is played almost on every level, forcing players to take a much wider view of the game and real use the full width and breadth of their team. As such the pitch scanner plays a much bigger part in the game because it enables players to pick out openings in the defence (if they're skilled enough, obviously) and thread a ball through to an advancing attacker.
Teamvision affects set-plays as well as free play too. Cheap free kicks are a thing of the past because the opposing defence will close down runs faster, which prevents players from passing a ball into the box and tapping a shot in from short range. Naturally there are times when you will scorean easy goal, whether it's from a well-worked passing move or a fizzing direct free kick, but the enchanced AI now means players must think more if they want to consistantly win.
Other improvements promised for PES 2008 includes improved greater close control, so there's more scope for skilled dribbling, tricks and neat inter-player passing moves. Setting up a free-kick isn't quick as restrictive either, whether you're defending or attacking. You can change the number of players in the wall if you're defending or, if you're on the attacking, plan runs more intricately and position specific target men for the kicker to aim for.
However, the most noticeable improvement PES 2008 will offer over its predecessors (apart from Teamvision of course) is the graphics. Konami promises it will be a true next-gen experience, so there will be proper facial animations, shirt pulling and kits that flow and crease as the players run around. Watermarks from sweat and rain appear as the game continues too, bringing the player that bit closer to the action than ever before. All next-gen versions will feature a fully functional edit mode too -- something that was sorely lacking from last year's 360 version of PES 6 -- so players can create there own team and or edit existing ones. As yet there's no word on which licensed teams will feature or indeed what online modes we can expect.
"We have taken a long hard look at what has made the Pro Evolution Soccer series so popular, and where we want to take it next," commented Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, creator of the series and Producer of PES 2008. "With the new Teamvision AI system, we truly believe that we have elevated the game to a new level. The movement of players off the ball, coupled with the total control given to the player, creates the closest simulation of real football to date. We really hope everyone enjoys our evolution. I promise it will be worth the wait." We certainly hope so.

Τα screensshots δε μου αρεσουν καθολου παντος...
Ας περιμενουμε να δουμε πως θα ειναι τα τελικα γραφικα του παιχνιδιου ,αλλα ναι τα γραφικα μεχρι στιγμης δειχνουν λιγο καλυτερα απο την εκδοση του Pes 6 για 360.

Speculation From Japan Within 24 Hours
Its been less than 24 hours since Konami GmbH unveiled Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 on all formats through a press release including six images. Already news coming out of Japan is sparking the flames between fanboys and making a huge statement that at this point in time is not clear whether it is speculation or reality.
The post coming from the Japanese GAME11 Forums says the following:
"PES 2008のイメージはゲームのPCそしてXbox 360版である。 PS3イメージはソニー輸出禁止のためにKonamiによって解放されない。"
Google Translation:
"The image of PES 2008 is PC and Xbox 360 edition of the game. PS3 image is not released for the SONY embargo by Konami."
The translation is good and we gather that the post is saying Konami can't release any images of PES 2008 for the PS3 due to an embargo by Sony. Why would there be an embargo? What are the reasons behind this? Now if this statement is true then we are yet to see the PS3 images of PES 2008. Now at this moment in time this post is pure speculation, however as always we will try and find out if there is any truth behind this revelation.

Konami has confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be released simultaneously on the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
Konami released Pro Evolution Soccer 6 last year as an exclusive to the Xbox 360 and met much critical acclaim and fanfare. Now though the exclusivity is gone and the best soccer game on the planet arguably is heading to the PS3 as well.
The name is something fans may be curious about. Konami has opted to drop the name Pro Evolutioin Soccer 7 and put year next to it instead as the game will now be called Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The yearly iterations should have the year tag next to them now just as the FIFA and other sports games usually have.

παντος παιδες δειχνει καλητερο...και αν διαβασατε το αρθρακι λεει για "νεα engine from scratch"..για οσους δε ξερουν τι σημαινει from scratch, απο το τπτ...δλδ ξεκινησαν την engine απο το 0! κραταω αυτο κ ελπιζω..αν και απο τις φωτογραφιες ειναι δυσκολα τα συμπερασματα η κληση στα σωματα μου εδειχνε οτι κατι εχουν αλλαξει αλλα θα περιμενω περισσοτερα να πω με video...
ΥΓ: ευτυχως κατάλαβαν τη πατατα που εκαναν περισι...δουλευαν τα Χ-fanboys για exclusive και μαλακιες κ για νεα engine χτησμενη στο 360 και οτι αυτη θα ειναι η βαση και μπλα μπλα μπλα μπλα...σε λιγο καιρο να δειτε που θα γινονται παλι ολα στο PS3 και τα ports θα ειναι στο 360...

παντως παιδια στην επισιμη σελιδα της konami δεν λεει τπτ για pro evo 2008 και αυτο ειναι που με φοβιζει καπως γιατι πιστευω πως ειναι ενα απο τα πιο πολυαναμενομενα παιχνιδια για ps3.Τωρα γιατι ακολουθει αυτη την τακτικη η εταιρια δεν ξερουμε.

H Konami ανακοίνωσε πριν από λίγες ώρες, ότι σύντομα θα παρουσιάσει για πρώτη φορά στο κοινό το επερχόμενο και άκρως αναμενόμενο νέο μέρος της ποδοσφαιρικής σειράς Pro Evolution Soccer. Το Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, όπως είναι ο πλήρης τίτλος του νέου παιχνιδιού, θα παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση LGC 2008, η οποία διεξάγεται στη Λειψία της Γερμανίας τα τελευταία χρόνια με ιδιαίτερη επιτυχία. Η πρώτη επίσημη παρουσίαση του Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 στον Τύπο της Ευρώπης θα γίνει στο PlayStation 3, ενώ στον ειδικά διαμορφωμένο χώρο της Konami θα βρίσκονται πολλά μέλη της ομάδας ανάπτυξης, αλλά και δημιουργοί άλλων τίτλων (Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles και Silent Hill Origins), για να απαντήσουν στα ερωτήματα των επισκεπτών. 9:00am on August 23rd will mark a historic date for football fans and games players across Europe, as Konami uses the Games Convention in Leipzig to show the PLAYSTATION®3 version of PES 2008 for the first time.

Ωραια θα ηταν το παιχνιδι μετα απο σκληρο μαρκαρισμα να γυρναει σε fighting game τυπου tekken. Να πεφτουν οι σφαλιαρες και μετα αντε παλι μπαλα........ :)
Μήπως θα θέλατε μετά τις φωτοβολίδες οι διαιτητές να ζητάνε από την αστυνομία την εκκένωση μερικών κερκίδων, να μπαίνουν στα αποδυτήρια και να περιμένουμε κανένα μισάωρο με το sixaxis στα χερια μέχρι να ξαναρχίσει το παιχνίδι;! :fryingpan::p

"A paradise for cheaters"
Lack of sportsmanship as a feature in the football-simulation Pro Evolution Soccer was believed to be impossible for a long time, but now in the version PES 2008 it has come: the players may cheat with consent of the developers. Because if you press 3 of the 4 shoulder-buttons of your gamepad, the kicker lets himself fall to the ground. If you do it cleverly, you get a free kick or a penalty. If you are less gifted with your finger-skills, the ref shows you a yellow card. A festival for cheaters! Allegedly it is only coincidence, that Christiano "dive-king" Ronaldo will decorate the cover of PES 2008.
You may ask, where have we got these info from? Two weeks ago we visited the sales department of Konami in Frankfurt and convinced ourselves for hours of the quality of the Japanese title using the PC Version. Our impression: fantastic! Especially neat: you don't need to be afraid of eye-cancer any more, for the PC-version is based on the high-definition visuals of the consoles. In plain language: finally a decently high grade of detail, flapping shirts, grass-leaves and even emotions on the kicker's faces. The playability is first class as always, the master league-mode has been pimped by the makers and a new playing-mode, in which you control one single player and accompany him during his career adds more variety. We are enraptured!

Άλλη μία photo... Κάνα video δε βλέπω...
- Το χορτάρι απ' ότι φαίνεται είναι αρκετά καλό.
- Στα παντελόνια κάτι δε μ' αρέσει, το τελίωμα τους είναι ολοστρόγγυλο λες κ έχουν βάλει "στεφάνι" για να το κρατάει σταθερό.
- Και οι κερκίδες με τους φιλάθλους μια από τα ίδια μου κάνει...
Ελπίζω να είμαι λίγο υπερβολικός και να το αδικούν κ λίγο οι φωτογραφίες γιατί περίμενα κάτι παραπάνω από τα γραφικά από το νέο PES. Στο κομμάτι του gameplay και του ΑΙ πιστεύω θα 'ναι πολύ ψηλά αλλά τα γραφικά δε με εντυπωσιάζουν.:(

Γνώμη μου ότι η πρώτη και η τελευταία photo δε μπορεί να είναι από το ίδιο παιχνίδι. Για μένα οτιδήποτε "πιο κάτω γραφικά" από την τελευταία δε θα είναι αρκετό για το νέο PES με τις τόσες υποσχέσεις. Το in-game μου φαίνεται ότι έχει πολύ καλό φωτισμό αλλά και πάλι δε μου κάνει τρομερή εντύπωση. Εγώ μένω στην τελευταία και περιμένω να το δω live...

Γινεται να περασεις την φατσα σου απο μνημη στο ps3; Στο xbox το rainbow six επρεπε να εχεις καμερα για να περασεις την φατσα σου μεσα.
Joypad tested the xbox version. A quick summary:
- Joypad play on a 360 version of the game at 75% (like all preview, still no PS3)
- Crazy details on faces for the stars
- Great collisions
- The referee uses a whistle
- Alot of animations just for assist
- Alot frame rate problem
- Gameplay look the same
- Better ball protection (better collision)
- better control for pass (more sharp)
- Irritated coach
- Player go up their socks
- New camera on PK (behind the goalkeeper) when the computer shoot
- No times for try really the teamvision (but much better AI in very hard)
- no access to training mode, master league and online mode for the moment
- Scenario mode on PS2 no Next gen
- No more Latvia , now it’s Israel

Ωραίο το maya, τα πρόσωπα είναι λίγο "χλωμά" εκτός από του Raul που είναι φοβερό, η μακρινή κάμερα πάσχει πολύ μου φαίνεται και το edit τα σπάει... Αυτά σαν πρώτη εντύπωση. Το μόνο που με ανησυχεί και με τρώει αυτή τη στιγμή είναι γιατί δεν έχουμε δει πουθενά photo από την έκδοση του PS3. :innocent:
Μπορεί να είναι πολλά βέβαια αυτό, από το χειρότερο μέχρι το καλύτερο... Ελπίζω να μην κάνουν καμιά μαλακία στην Konami το καλό που τους θέλω γιατί θα τους πάρει ο Δι40λ0ς....
ΥΓ: Και να έχουν το fantasista mode μέσα... Άκου εκεί no next-gen... Ελπίζω να 'ναι καμιά μπαρούφα του δημοσιογράφου όπως συνηθίζεται από το gamers-creed.

Eχω αρχισει να αγχωνομαι για το οτι δεν υπαρχουν ακομα πουθενα εικονες απο το Ps3.
Eχω την εντυπωση οτι 2 πραγματα θα συμβουν.
ειτε το παιχνιδι για το Ps3 θα ειναι μουφα, ιδιο με του 360 (που σιγουρα θα ειναι και αυτο καλο γιατι και το 360 ειναι καλη κονσολα) απλα θα ηθελα να διαφερει στο Ps3, προς το καλυτερο φυσικα, ειτε.......................
θα ειναι απλα τελειο και θελουν να μας αφησουν με το στομα ανοιχτο.

4players.de PES2008 Preview
Another preview this time coming from Germany. Thanks to Falko and Christoph for helping with the translation. This again is a preview based on the beta version of the game that are in circulation now.
They have only played the PS2 and Xbox 360 versions, but confirmed a constant slowdown on the X360 version. They are confident that Konami will solve that prior to release. Well, there is spoken intro and such little tweaks, but apart from that it´s the same as it ever was. Still no currency included either, you still get points for you wins.
Edit mode on all platforms.
Graphics better, but no quantum leap.
Nice menus, great animations.
Stadiums still with old textures, some slowdowns (they hope this will get worked over for final version).
Ball physics and animations improved.
Good AI, they lost against com the first two matches on third difficulty level.
Ball feels and sounds heavier, great long distance shooting.
Physique of players more realistic.
Dribbling better, differences in acceleration of players play a greater role.
Defense more difficult (second player pressing less effective, pass anticipation more rewarding)
Great goalie animations.
Lobs easier
They did not succeed with a dive, yellow card every time.
Com also dives in master league, also always got a yellow.
You can choose the numbers of players in the wall.
They could not test shirt pulling and bringing up defenders on corners.
Quick free-kicks work great.
PS2 with 33 stadiums, random matches, more detailed training mode, world tour, community features.
Replays on all platforms
More statistics (highest victory, longest (distance) goal, best possession percentage).
Master League presentation improved.
Now popularity and image of a club play a role in Master League.At first they wondered, what is different to PES6? After a while they (PES-veterans) did not want to put the controller down anymore. The small changes in gameplay lead to a much better and more realistic game.

PES 2008
Last years Xbox 360 version was a theft. Konami basically admits that themselves. The 360-owners just got a fraction of what the PS2-owners got and even if it had better graphics and different ball control and player-AI, the game was inferior. The fact that it still sold a respectable number of units was actually a shame. More of us should have made a stand and displayed a little consumer power.
360 Gets More Time:
Now the second version of PES on the 360 is here and this year it has been granted more time by the coders at Konami. We basically get everything that was included in PES6 on the PS2 last year, as well as a few tweaks and further improvements to the gameplay. I played an unfinished version that will be further polished before release, but most of the new stuff was in it and it does give you an idea on how the finished version will be like.
Forget About The Premiership:
One of the key questions is, as usual, regarding the licenses. Based on what I saw the same teams were there as in the PS2-version. It’s sad that neither Djurgården nor more teams from the Bundesliga and Premier League is licensed. But let’s make this clear, so that everybody remembers until next year, Premier League won’t be licensed in PES until the earliest in 2010 since EA owns the rights to the league and most of the teams in it. Konami can try to include some team from the league if they negotiate well, but don’t count with anymore than three teams up until 2011. This year it seems as if Manchester United and Newcastle are licensed since Cristiano Ronaldo is the cover boy in Europe and Owen is on the cover in England. The same goes for the Nordic and Swedish teams; don’t count on anymore than a handful of teams to be added next year. I know how you feel about this, but you know the deal.
Make Your Own Player:
To ease the pain of the lack of licenses the Edit mode finally has found its way to the 360-version. You can edit names on teams, players, stadiums, kits, leagues, cups and furthermore create your own teams and players. Because of this, it doesn’t take that long to correct team and player names. The “create a player mode” is now deeper than last years PS2 version and now there’s also a possibility to import your own face into the game.
Another Big Leap:
The thing I really enjoy in the 360-version is the gameplay, more specifically the AI. I certainly won half of the games on the highest difficulty level and suffered only one defeat, but the Com is really smart on the highest difficulty level. It isn’t unusual that I’m forced to turn home because of the tight marking the Com is using. To choose between playing a ball towards goal on chance, and switching sides may seem unaccustomed by some, but the fact is that you can notice that the Com difficulty now thinks more as a team and as individually talented players. Everything from the marking and more clever through balls to passes, interceptions and feints, it all makes the Com smarter. Of course there are still details that I won’t be able to make a statement about until a hundred more matches, but my impression so far is that Konami has taken another big leap regarding gameplay.
New Tricks:
There are some new tricks in the Xbox 360 version. You can, for instance, select if you want your full-backs or other heading specialists to step into the box during free kicks. Unfortunately you can’t seem to select who should defend your own box during free kicks. You can dive by pressing LB, RB and LR or RT. Doing this will result in the player performing a dive and most of the time you’re just rewarded a yellow card, but it’s possible to succeed if you time it well. Something I haven’t succeeded doing yet. When trying to save a penalty the camera is now behind the goal instead of in front of it. This creates an improved sensation of presence, but I only encountered it once so I can’t say for sure how good it is. Some free kicks can be taken fast playing a short pass without a break which is a good way of keeping the pace.
Problems In Need Of Fixing:
There are also some problems. The most in need of fixing is the frame rate. The game was instable and froze for a second on numerous occasions. But this is obviously a Beta, so a lot of things can happen before the release. The game modes “community” and “world tour” from the PS2-version is not included in this version and it hadn’t hurt in an otherwise poorly updated version.
It’s also interesting to see how the Xbox 360- and PS2-versions now is starting to separate more and more from each other regarding gameplay without me being sure which one I prefer. I experience the PS2-version has some smoother animations, but it doesn’t have as good AI and the ball seems lighter. It’s also more difficult to use the “automated press (press2)” in the 360-version and to take the ball from a really talented player. Don’t be surprised if Rooney succeeds in scoring despite you having to players chasing him for 20 meters.
I checked out the Master League too and even if it’s gratifying that you now can start with an entirely fictional team and decide which players you want to play in the team (something you’ve been able to do in the PS2-version for years), it seems as if this is the only news when you scratch the surface.
Don’t Look At The Crowd:
Purely graphical, progress has been made. Even more player faces are realistic and there are plenty of new animations. The crowd, in some angles, look better. But most of the time the crowd is made out of cloned persons with exactly the same clothes and even if they sometimes are showed in 3D it’s now worth to look their way. The facial expressions on players have been polished and look great. There are also a few cool animations on the pitch in the form of kicks in the air and other aggressive behaviour.
One thing that isn’t that great is the new Main Menu that consists of an ugly board where you can scroll through options like edit, master league, cup and exhibition. This means that you can’t see the whole menu at once, which is more dumb than innovative.
It’s Enough, But No More:
It’s gonna take a lot of more matches before I for sure can tell you what I think of PES 2008 on the Xbox 360, but now I know that I can be calm – the gameplay will be great. If the Master League isn’t polished before the release it will be a disappointment and the licenses is also a disappointment. But what has been done is sufficient for another year. Konami keeps us waiting for that big update and during the wait feeds us a polished version of the gameplay that makes us less loud in our criticism. Because no matter how cheap they’ve updated the rest of the game, the gameplay is as usual amazing. More so than last year. For most PES gamers that’s enough.

Εντάξει τα γραφικά είναι σκέτη απογοήτευση.... Κατά τ' άλλα το παιχνίδι μάλλον θα χει πολλά νέα στοιχεία που θα αναβαθμίζουν κατά πολύ το gameplay... Όταν μίλαγε για next gen η Konami μάλλον θα εννοούσε το gameplay γιατί από γραφικά είναι LAST LAST gen....:banghead::banghead:

Aντε και κοντεύει ο καιρός , δεν είδαμε και πολλά πράγματα απο την έκδοση για ps3, ελπίζω να μήν σημαίνει κατι αυτό ( όπως πχ με το madden 2008 που η έκδοση του ps3 ειναι απλα η σκιά ( οπως λέει και τo IGN ) αυτής του 360

Αχαχα fifa! Οι Αμερικάνοι δεν ξέρουν από ποδόσφαιρο. Το fifa δεν θα φτάσει ποτέ το pro. Παιδιά η EA βγάζει 10 αθλητικά παιχνίδια κάθε χρόνο. Δεν δίνει την έμφαση σε κανένα. Είναι δουλειά άρπα κόλα. Η konami βγάζει ένα και καλό. Απλά τα πράματα. Άδικα ελπίζετε.
Edit: Η έκδοση του pes 6 ήταν καλύτερη στο ps2 από το 360(σε features τουλάχιστον). Το αποκλείω να είναι στο ps3 χειρότερο λοιπόν. Εκτός αν λαδώσει η Microsoft. Νομίζω όμως ότι λόγο καταγωγής η konami έχει καλή συνεργασία με τη sony. Έτσι κι αλλιώς ο σταυρός στο χειριστήριο του xbox είναι χάλια σε σχέση με του playstation. Το pro είναι παιχνίδι για ps.
παιδια και εγω αυτο το παιχνιδι περιμενω. αν δεν ειναι καλυτερο απο του 360 ή εστω ισαξιο δεν ξερω και εγω τι θα κανω.
καταρχην θα ξενερωσω πολυ ασχημα και δευτερον θα συνεχιζω να παιζω με το 6. που κατι μου λεει οτι κατι τετοιο θα γινει. τοκ τοκ.......

Εμένα μου αρέσουν οι pics αλλά περιμένω το κάτι παραπάνω. Θα δούμε σίγουρα καλύτερα γραφικά στην τελειωμένη έκδοση του παιχνιδιού

Μαζί σου! Το pes πάντα μέτραγε για το gameplay του και σε κάθε έκδοση ήταν καλύτερο. Κάνουν εκπληκτική δουλειά σε αυτό

παιδια ετσι κι αλλιως το fifa ειχε ανεκαθεν καλυτερα γραφικα απο το pro αλλα το gameplay του pro ηταν αυτο που μας εχει κερδισει τοσα χρονια και θα εξακολουθει να μας κερδιζει.Με λιγα λογια το pro ειναι πολυ πιο ρεαλιστικο απο καθε αλλο παιχνιδι ποδοσφαιρου.

Συμφωνώ. Αν και προτιμούσα παλιά τα Fifa τα τελευταία χρόνια κόλλησα στο Pro!

εμενα εκεινη την εποχη μου αρεσε στο fifa μονο η μουσικη του.:angry::angry:
ηταν πανευκολο ρε φιλαρακο, κατεβαινες απο την μια περιοχη με τον τερματοφυλακα και εβαζες γκολ στην αλλη περιοχη,πατουσες αν θυμαμαι καλα το r2 και το χ και εκανες 500 ντριμπλες το λεπτο.αν αυτο ειναι ρεαλιστικο παιχνιδι εγω ειμαι η μετεμψυχωση του βουδα.Βεβαια στα γραφικα το pes ειναι παραπολυ πισω.
