May 18, 2007 - Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has lifted the lid on the first premium download content for MotorStorm, which is scheduled to hit the PlayStation Network in June. Titled Coyote Weekend, the download includes three new race tickets which, for anyone unfamiliar with the original game, are essentially three groups of new races. Included is 'new' track that's a reworking of the existing Coyote Rage, although quite how different it'll be remains to be seen. The remaining tickets will feature existing circuits with different car configurations.

Sony has also promised that the download will include new vehicles and a new online mode called Eliminator, although no additional information on either was available at the time of writing. Our guess is that there'll be a couple of new cars, possibly existing cars that have been reworked, and that the elimination mode will be a straightforward race in which the driver in last place at the end of each lap will be wiped out.

In addition, 'light' download packs are also in the pipeline for MotorStorm and will initially include a couple of cars, with new game modes are also planned for the future. In fact Sony has said it is committed to releasing MotorStorm download packs for the next 12 months, with the premium packs interspersed with the light packs during that time.

At present there is no word on an exact release date or indeed how much each of the packs will cost. We'll bring you the information as soon as we get it.

Sony has announced plans to release a free update for Motorstorm, their recent PS3 off-road racing game from developer Evolution Studios. The new update, which will be available for download on June 7, will include a new time attack mode that will let players race against ghost versions of other racers that upload their best times onto the game's leaderboards. The update will also automatically upload especially fast times onto the leadeboards along with a number of other new tweaks and bug fixes

Τελικα εγινε το Update του Motorstorm ???

Mε το update κ τα νεα maps του Resistance γινεται χαμος ...ειναι η 2η φορα που ανακοινωνει καθυστερηση η Sony και αυτη τη φορα λιγες ωρες πριν την διαθεση του (ηταν να βγουν Online 07/06) ...

Αναβλήθηκε τόσο το 1.2 του Motorstorm όσο και το FOM content για αυτλη τη βδομάδα. Σε επίσημη ανακοίνωση της η Sony είπε ότι προβλήματα τελευταίας στιγμής δημιουργήθηκαν με αποτέλεσμα να μην μπορέσουν να παραδώσουν το υλικό στην ημερομηνία που είχαν καθορίσει, χωρίς η καθυστέρηση που θα τα πάρουμε όμως να είναι μεγάλη. Το motorstorm στις 11 και 14 Ιουνίου από ότι είδα ;)

Set in the off-road tracks of a large desert festival in Monument Valley, players had access to seven vehicle types, ranging from big rigs to dirt bikes (http://www.ps3news.com/forums/#). With the only rules of the competition being that there are no rules, racers could bump and crash their way to the finish line. However, one of the largest complaints lodged against the game was the limited number of tracks that players could fly through as they tried to collect the event tickets during the game.

Η ανικανοτητα σε ολο της το μεγαλειο. Και δε μιλαω μονο γι αυτο το καταραμενο πατς του Motorstorm, μιλαω για ολα οσα εχουν σχεση με το PS3 και εχουν παρει delay τον τελευταιο καιρο (οπως το singstar που πηγε Ιουλιο). Λυπηθειτε μας.

Motorstorm Update Washed Out
Network bug in patch is cause of new delay

Motorstorm fans will have to pull back from the starting line once again, as this anticipated 1.2 update won't be released this week. The patch was supposed to improve online play as well as lay the foundation for the new Time Attack game mode. Initially scheduled for release on June 7th, the release of 1.2 was pushed back to the 11th because of technical issues. This date then moved back to the 14th in time for the PlayStation Store's weekly update. Unfortunately, according to a Sony spokesman, as the update was being prepped for release, a significant network bug was discovered that required the company to push the update back once again.

When asked for specific details on this bug, SCEA provided the following statement: "A new issue was found on the 1.2 patch that could result in consumers not being able to establish network connection. At this time we need to continue to run tests and monitor the issues to ensure that it does not occur when the patch goes live if there is network latency. It is in the best interest of the consumer that we resolve the current problem to ensure the bug does not cause problems for future patches or updates."

Hi everyone. I’m Felice Standifer, Sr. US Producer for MotorStorm. I understand everyone is rarin’ to go with the MotorStorm updates and believe me, we are too. But right before we were planning to go live with the 1.2 updates with Time Attack mode, a new issue was found on the patch that could result in people not being able to establish a network connection. So, unfortunately, for now we need to continue to run tests and monitor the fix to ensure that it does not occur when the patch goes live. I play Motorstorm religiously and *love* the new Time Attack mode, and I think you will too. Of course, it’s in the best interest for everyone that we resolve this before we release the update. δεν ξερω αν γινεται φιλε klepidas γιατι κατι παρομοιο που δοκιμασαμε με τον marcus σε ριπλει του gt hd δεν δουλεψε τελικα.μαλλον το ps3 οταν κανει ενα save αποθηκευει και το uniqe i.d του ωστε να μην μπορει αλλο ps3 να το τρεξει.τα ειπα σωστα marcus?αν οχι διορθωσε με..:hide:

δεν πρέπει να ισχύει για όλλα τα saves αυτο....ίσος στο gt να γίνεται μόνο γιατί κυκλοφωρούν saves παιχνιδιών....αν εχει δοκιμάσει κάποιος άλλος ας μας πει με κάποιο save απο game

Ρε παιδες εκανα ενα Update και το Motostorm brickare.....Δεν ξαναμπηκε μεσδα στο παιχνιδι και αναγκαστικα να σβισω το update1.1. για να δουλεψει ξανα.....Απο τοτε που κατεβασα απο το Ps store το time attack Μου το εκανε αυτο....!!!!!!
το update 1.2 μάλλων λες....πρώτα πρέπει να μπείς κ να κάνεις in game update κ μετά πας στο store κ κατεβάζεις το time attack

Πάντως κάτι παρόμοιο κάνουν ήδη στην Ελλάδα το Πλαίσιο και η Ηλεκτρονική. Προσφέρουν και οι δυο πακέτο PS3+Motorstorm με 689E. Στο Βέλγιο ανέβασαν την τιμή κατά 20E, Εδώ κατά 30 E... Πολύ θα ήθελα να δω ποσο θα κάνει στην ελλάδα πάντως... Αν κάνει 679E θα είναι κοροϊδία...

Συγνώμη ρε παιδιά αν σας τα'χω πρήξει αλλά έκανα οτι μου είπατε και πάλι χωρίς κανένα αποτέλεσμα.Εκεί που κατεβάζω το update και μου λέει για reboot απλά το σβήνω και το ανάβω ξανά έτσι?Τι άλλο να φταίει ρε γμτ?Λέτε να είναι επειδή το αρχείο το κατεβάζω απο αμερικάνικο account?Και κάτι άλλο.Το μέγεθος του αρχείου είναι μόλις 100kb.Σαν πολύ μικρό να μου φαίνεται

Απο Us το κατεβασες?Σβηστο κ κατεβασετο απο αγγλια κ εγω το κατεβασα απο αμερικη κ οταν εβαζα να παιξει το παιχνιδι το διαβαζε κ κολουσε σε μαυρη οθονη μετα το διεφραψα κ το κατεβασα απο αγγλια κ τωρα παιζει μια χαρα.

Σήμερα βγήκε το update 2.0 για το Motorstorm. Το κατέβασε κανείς? Έχουν προσθέσει και αγώνες κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας. Πάντως οι νυχτερινοί αγώνες φαίνονται λίγο απλοικοί από άποψη γραφικών γιατί τα οχήματα δεν έχουν προβολείς, είναι πολύ σκοτεινά. Πάντως εγώ έπαιξα νύχτα στην πίστα Dust Devil, δεν ξέρω σε άλλες μήπως υπάρχουν φώτα...

Επίσης όλο το έξτρα υλικό θα πρέπει να το αγοράσεις όταν ανέβει στο PSN, το update "κατεβάζει" την πίστα Coyote Revenge αλλά δεν είναι διαθέσιμη.

Θα μπω και εγώ. Όπως την έφαγα χθες στο resistance θα τη φαω και σήμερα στο motorstorm, αλλά που θα πάει, θα τα μάθω. 10 μέρες το έχω το μηχάνημα. Έτσι, για τη χαρά του παιχνιδιού.

Λίγα λόγια για το νέο eliminator mode:

Here is how it works.

As soon as the boost is available after the race starts a countdown begins and the last in the pack gets eliminated at the end of it. This not an "elimination per lap" race. The countdown is always ticking so whoever finds himself in the last position when it reaches zero is out. This means a race can actually end even during the first lap. There is no laps count indeed. Once a guy is elimitaed, the countdown resets. Also, since the countdown never stops, it adds a bit of strategy to the race. Say you are last but you are close enough to the second to last guy to attemp a takeover. You might want to wait for the countdown to reach -5 secs before surpassing him cos that would mean instant death for him. Got what I mean? It's a bit like passing the bomb.

That's not all.

Countdown can be set to be of 20 to 60 secs by the host, meaning a 12 players race with a 60 secs countdown will last exactly 11 minutes.

But here comes the cool part: the "shockwave" and the "boost death". They can be both turned on or off by the host.

The shockwave is exactly what you are guessing: when the eliminated explodes, the shockwave of the explosion affects whoever is nearby him.

The boost death option makes it so that once the countdown reaches zero, the eliminated player doesn't explode immediately but basically becomes a barely manouverable rocket you can try and direct into the pack in front of you in order to cause damage. If the shockwave option is set to ON, you can easly figure out what this means.

Once you are dead, you become spectator. As such, you can watch remaining players via the standard behind the vehicle view. You can also voice chat with everyone. While rather cool, this "mode" is affected by some serious hiccups resembling lag issues (basically u see vehicles teleporting from time to time - hope they fix this).

Ah, forgot to say wrecks of those eliminated stay on the track. They dont disappear.

More general stuff I noticed. I guess there were fixed with the latest patch:
1 - The XMB Players Met section finally shows players you met in MotorStorm.
2 - Voice chat during loading screen doesn't screw up near the end but stays crisp and clear.

Πολλοί έχουν το ίδιο πρόβλημα. Απ' οτι κατάλαβα η wirecard σταμάτησε να υποστηρίζεται στο UK store. Δυστυχώς μόνο το US πια για αγορές.

Just when you've gotten all cleaned up, things are about to get dirty again. Sony Computer Entertainment and Evolution Studios will release the second downloadable pack for their chaotic off-road racer, MotorStorm (http://ps3.ign.com/objects/748/748488.html), tomorrow on the PlayStation Network. As was the case with the first release, fans of the title will see the addition of a new track and a handful of new vehicles.

The main draw here is the new track, Devil's Crossing. Though there are plenty of wide-open areas that give you plenty of driving space, this may perhaps be the most chaotic course yet. As is the case with every other track in the game, there are multiple routes you can take, some geared at light vehicles and some at the heavier rides. While the routes may split you up, numerous times in the course you're thrust back together over bridges that intersect like a cross.

Partway through our first lap we witnessed the carnage that can be caused by this first-hand. We were in a buggy, racing side-by-side but respectfully along a group of four or five other vehicles. Just ahead of us was a wooden bridge, which looked safe enough, until we saw a half-dozen other vehicles reeling in from the side at the very last second. Only a couple of the vehicles in the pack made it out alive, and we're not sure how that was even possible. This setup of crossing bridges happens a few more times right after this, so if everyone is competitive and racing a tight race, carnage is practically guaranteed.

The design of the track is rather cool as it takes place in a mountainous area where a couple of planes have gone down. Their metallic carcasses serve as barriers, obstacles and even jumps throughout the course of the track, which runs for over two minutes for a single lap. A fallen bridge litters the track at one point, and pieces of something that exploded are scattered elsewhere.

Devil's Crossing is a cool track to be sure, and if you're still playing MotorStorm or are looking for a reason to pick it up again, this is a good one. The entire pack will run you a cool $5.99 and will be available tomorrow on the PlayStation Store.

The latest update to MotorStorm is out today.

Now included is a vehicle selection of 2D/3D in the host options as well as mirrored tracks.

The vehicle selections lets you have either the traditional 3D select screen or a 2D grid of the vehicles to choose from, which seems to speed up the selection process somewhat.

The host can also choose mirrored tracks which reverses the entire geometry set of the tracks. Where you went left you will now go right. Όντως με έχει εντυπωσιάσει το studio με την συνεχή του υποστήριξη και τις αναβαθμίσεις. Αν πλησίαζαν έστω και στο μικρό τους δαχτυλάκι οι άλλες εταιρίες για τα δικά τους παιχνίδια, τότε το online θα αποκτούσε πολύ πιο ουσιαστική έννοια.

Κρίμα που απλά το παιχνίδι είναι τόσο... βαρετό :P

Εγώ που το κορόιδευα κατέληξα να παίζω επί 2 βδομάδες σχεδόν 6 ώρες τη μέρα το λιγότερο...!! Όταν λέμε λιώσιμο... Λιώσιμο!!

Όσο για το Motorstorm ΑΙ είναι το πιο "άτιμο" ΑΙ που έχω δει σε παιχνίδι!! Ειδικά όταν κοντεύεις να τερματήσεις 2,3 τελευταία tickets όπου είναι λες και σε εχουν βάλει στόχο και πέφτουν 2,3 επίτηδες πάνω σου μόνο και μόνο για να μην νικήσεις εσύ! Φοβερό ΑΙ... Αλλά που και που... Στη δίνει στα νεύρα!! :p

Μπράβο ρε seaman! Επιτέλους... Είναι ακριβώς το αίσθημα με αυτό που είχα όταν άρχισα να ασχολούμε με τον τίτλο! Όταν είχα δει το παιχνίδι και το demo έστω δε μπορούσα να καταλάβω γιατί τόσος κόσμος ασχολείται με το παιχνίδι, το έβρισκα εντελώς χαζό και κενό! Παίζοντας όμως συνειδητοποίησα τη διασκέδαση που μπορεί να σου προσφέρει και άλλαξα εντελώς άποψη για το παιχνίδι! Πραγματικά πολύ καλό παιχνίδι αν και παραξηγημένο από πολλούς... Το 2 θα κάνει πάταγο... Mark my words ;)

Eίναι ωραίο να βλέπεις ότι υποστηρίζουν το παιχνίδι ακόμα και τόσο καιρό μετά την κυκλοφορία του με DLC. Bέβαια ακόμα καλύτερα θα ήταν να μην χρεώνουν γι΄αυτό, ειδικά από την στιγμή που βασικό μειονέκτημα του Motorstorm ήταν η έλλειψη modes/tracks. :p

Παιδιά θέλω τη βοήθειά σας. Αγόρασα το πακετάκι με τις 2 πίστες απο το Αμερικάνικο PStore και τις κατέβασα κανονικά. Έχω 2 απορίες.
1. Το Motorstorm που έχω είναι PAL, θα μου δουλέψει το πακέτο???
2. Έβαλα το παιχνίδι αλλά δέν βλέπω τίποτα διαφορετικό ξέρει κανείς που βρίσκουμε τις πίστες? Που εμφανίζονται δηλαδή?

Ούτε και εγώ βλέπω τίποτα διαφορετικό ρε γαμώτο. Μόνο στα Game Data Utility του PS3 εμφανίζει κάτι που λέει Motorstorm Pack 13. Kαλά δέν ήταν και πολλά 2.99$ έκανε το πακετάκι αλλά γιατί να μήν δουλέψει. Pάντως αν ξέρει κάποιος ας απαντήσει, που εμφανίζονται οι πίστες αυτές.

δικιο εχει ο non. αν ειναι pal, τοτε πρεπει να τα παρεις απο gr η uk store.

οταν το αγορασεις, θα σου τα εχει κανονικα στο online, και στο offline πας στο wreckreation η οτι λεει στο βασικο menu.

Εγώ το πήρα πρώτα ο μακάκας και μετά ρώτησα...καλά να πάθω. :banghead:
Και δέν φτάνει μόνο αυτό, αγόρασα και το aquarium και δέν παίζει με το Eyetoy του PS2, θέλει την Eye camera του PS3...:fryingpan:...ζωγράφισα ο άτιμος σήμερα με τις αγορές μου. :badpc:

Κ εγω την ειχα πατησει με το motorstorm ειχα παρει το πρωτο πακετο με τις πιστες απο us κ δεν επαιζαν πεταξα 6 δολλαρια κ εσκασα 6 ευρω για να τα παρω απο το δικο μας ps store.

Υπάρχουν και ευρωπαϊκά lobbies. Αλλά αν τα περισσότερα είναι από Αμερική, λογικό να σου βγάζει αυτά πρώτα.

Το πιο λογικό (να μην υπήρχαν καθόλου παίκτες από την ευρώπη εκείνη τη στιγμή) είναι λίγο δύσκολο πρακτικά. Αλλά καλά ντε. Τι σκας κι εσύ. Παίξε με τα αμερικανάκια και πες τους να ψηφίσουν Obama :giggle:

Με το motorstorm έχω προβλήματα πάντως... Μπορεί να κάνω "τέλειους" αγώνες στο single player -χωρίς συγκρούσεις κλπ- και πάλι να τερματίζω 4ος 5ος. Δεν ξέρω αν κάνω κάτι λάθος οπότε κάποιος γνώστης του παιχνιδιού αν μπορεί ας μας διαφωτίσει με σχετικά tips. Καταρχήν πως μπορούμε να ξεκινάμε ποιό γρήγορα στην εκκίνηση (ΟΛΑ τα υπόλοιπα αμάξια-μηχανές με αφήνουν μισό χιλιόμετρο πίσω στην αρχή) και ποιά είναι η πιο σωστή χρήση turbo.

Φιλε αν είσαι στην αρχή, λογικό είναι. Μετά από λίγες ώρες παιχνιδιού, θα βελτιωθούν οι γύροι σου. Το boost πρέπει να το προσεχεις. Όταν είσαι σε ευθείες μπορείς να το χρησιμοποιείς έτσι ωστε στις στροφές όπου δε πολυχρειάζεται, να μειωθεί ο μετρητής και να είναι έτοιμο αμέσως μετά.

Και όμως δεν βελτιώνονται, γιαυτό ρωτάω μήπως κάνω κάτι λάθος. Παλεύω εδώ και 4 μέρες να τερματίσω πρώτος στη δεύτερη πίστα που εμφανίζονται μηχανές (νομίζω προς το τέλος του level 1 ή προς την αρχή του level 2) και ακόμα δεν τα έχω καταφέρει (μέχρι δεύτερος έφτασα).

Υπάρχει κάποιο σύστημα για να ξεκινάμε στην εκκίνηση πιο γρήγορα;

Το boost ειναι καλό να μένει στα γκρι, στα κίτρινα ή στα κόκκινα;

Μα δεν είναι απαραίτητο να βγείς πρώτος σε κάποιο αγώνα αν δεν μπορείς. Και τρίτος να βγείς περνάς το event. Το boost δεν έχει σημασία που είναι. Το ίδιο αποδίδει παντού. Απλά αν γεμίσει και το πατήσεις θα εκραγεί το όχημα σου.
