Epic’s Paragon is a MOBA and it is also coming to PS4


It is coming to PC, as we already know, but for PS4 as well.

The game puts the player in “direct third-person control” of the character.



It will have paid Early Access in Spring 2016 and and open beta in Summer 2016.

Epic Games Points At 1080p And 60fps For Paragon PlayStation 4 Version


Paragon was just another PC MOBA, although coming from the renown developer Epic Games, but after the PlayStation Experience 2015 presentation it became "the Gears of War creators' new title for PlayStation 4", so it really took a stand and had an occasion to be a much more anticipated game. Paragon Epic Games knows that and also knows people want to see how its technicians will be working on the Unreal Engine 4 to make it be the best looking possible on consoles. During a recent Twitch stream, we had a first confirm that the studio is aiming to 1080p and 60 frames per second right now.

Senior programmer Daniel Wright clearly said "That's something that would be so cool to have, we would love to have that not just for Paragon but, you know, for the engine in general. It's not on the plan right now, we're focusing on 60FPS on console so that takes a lot of effort." So the focus is on making the game run at 60 frames per second; it's going to be a matter of fluidity more than resolution.

By the way, it is clear that PS4 will try and handle 1080p as a resolution, since it has done so far pretty well when it came to it. By the way, "We plan to support keyboard and mouse on PS4. That said, we have players on both platforms playing against one another, and there doesn't appear to be any significant advantage to using either input device. Our top player plays on PC but uses a controller." So there's a lot in the works at Epic Games and they are planning on a long-term base to make its MOBA one of the most appreciated on the market, and the one to take as a reference on PlayStation 4. Beta Weekends Coming!

Hey tonybsg,

Thank you for signing up for the Paragon Beta and for patiently waiting to play. We appreciate your support for Paragon and want to keep you informed about what’s happening with the game. Today we announced that Founder’s Packs go on sale March 14, and Early Access begins on March 18.

Free Play Events For You

As someone who has signed up for the beta, even if you don’t want to buy a Founder’s Pack, you will be invited to free Beta Weekends during the Early Access Season.

You can also choose to buy a Founder’s Pack starting on March 14, and begin playing March 18. We’ll have more details on Founder’s Packs and Beta Weekends soon. If you’d rather wait, the game will be in free Open Beta in the summer of 2016.

All Heroes Free, All Cards Earned

Paragon is designed so that all players can compete and win without ever having to spend money. All Heroes are free, and cards can only be earned by playing the game. The game will never be pay-to-win, meaning we will never sell gameplay-affecting items. We will sell cosmetic items (skins, emotes), boosts other convenience items, as well as early access. We’re taking this approach because we believe that competitive games need to fair for all players.
