Upper One Games today unveiled additional details about its upcoming debut title, Never Alone. Never Alone is expected to launch in the fall of this year as a downloadable title for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a SRP of $14.99.


In Never Alone, players take on the roles of Nuna, a young Iρupiaq girl and an Arctic fox, in an atmospheric puzzle platformer that combines traditional folklore, stories, settings, and characters handed down over many generations by Alaska Native people whose roots and heritage date back millennia. Featuring imagery and themes drawn directly from Iρupiat and other Alaska Native cultures, Never Alone features striking visuals, emphasizes the sensibilities and perspective of these indigenous Arctic people and requires players to work cooperatively to succeed in challenging and harsh environments.


Upper One Games joined forces with E-Line Media, a leading publisher of games that engage and empower, to assemble a unique development team that partners Iρupiaq elders and storytellers with game industry veterans who have served in key roles on such popular titles as Interstate ’76, MechWarrior II, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tomb Raider: Legend, the SOCOM series, Rage, Quake Live, and many more titles across console and PC.

Top Level Features of Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) include:
• 1- and 2-player modes, both involving cooperative play (in single-player mode, the player can switch between the roles of Nuna and Fox at any time);
• 8 sweeping chapters that take players across treacherous ice floes, Arctic tundra, ice caves, boreal forests, cliff-built coastal villages, and more;
• Game story, settings, characters and gameplay inspired by traditional Iρupiaq folklore, including the story of Kunuuksaayuka (Koo-nook-sah-yoo-ka) that has been handed down for generations among the Iρupiaq people;
• Encounters with traditional Alaska Native folklore characters such as Manslayer, Blizzard Man, Sky People, the Little People and the Rolling Heads;
• Exclusive unlockable insights into the Iρupiaq way of life, told by both Alaska Native elders and youth.

Ξεθαβω το thread μηπως μαθουμε περισσοτερες πληροφοριες απο τους συμφορουμιτες που το εχουν παιξει. Επισης ειναι το παιχνιδι που ξεχωριζει για το PS4 στο ps plus τον προσεχη μηνα. Το παιχνιδι φενεται ομορφο, αλλα συμφωνα με το Metacritic δε τα πηγε τοσο καλα. Ηταν ενας λογος που δε τολμησα να το τσιμπησω οταν ειχε βγει σε προσφορα καποια στιγμη τα Χριστουγεννα. Δειχνει και αυτο ενα ξεχωριστο παιχνιδι οπως ηταν και το Valliant Hearts, μονο που οι βαθμολογιες του επιρρεασαν σημαντικα την εικονα που ειχα σχηματισει οταν ειχα πρωτοδει το trailer του παιχνιδιου.

Ειναι ενα καλο game, οχι κατι το φοβερο. Εγω το διασκεδασα και το επαιξα co-op με την κοπελα. Ενδιαφερουν εχουν και τα βιντεο μεσα στο παιχνιδι που ναι μεν μοιαζουν με ντοκυμαντερ (βασικα ντοκυμαντερ ειναι) αλλα δενουν με το στορυ πολυ ομορφα. Νομιζω για indie game ειναι αξιοπρεπες. Ενα 7.5-8 στα 10 απο εμενα.

Το παιχνίδι ξεκινά πολύ καλά για μένα και είναι ωραίο να το παίξεις co op.Προς τέλος, το χάνει λίγο , είναι κάπως περίεργη η κλιμάκωσή του και σε αφήνει κάπως μη ικανοποιημένο.

Το ότι ενδιάμεσα ξεκλειδώνεις και βλέπεις αποσπάσματα από ένα ντοκυμαντέρ είναι ωραία ιδέα και το ντοκυμαντέρ είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρον και δένει πολύ με την ιστορία. Σε βοηθά αρκετά να μπεις στην πλοκή και να καταλάβεις που στηρίζονται αυτά που βλέπεις στο παιχνίδι.

Και εγώ γύρω στο 7,5 θα του έβαζα.

Βάζω χθες το witcher για πρώτη φορά και μου γράφει update 18.8Gb/4hours. Σκέφτομαι αν έχω κατεβασμένο κάτι μικρό και βρήκα το Never alone. Πολύ καλή η ιδέα του ντοκιμαντέρ το οποίο μου άρεσε ιδιαίτερα (μου αρέσει γενικά να βλέπω για διαφορετικές κουλτούρες και το πως αντιλαμβάνονται τα πράγματα). Αφηγείται ένα παραμύθι στην γλώσσα των αυτοχθόνων της Αλάσκα, επίσης σημαντικό στοιχείο για μένα. Το gameplay του είναι συμπαθητικό, κάποια θεματάκια με το μπόλα ή τις γρήγορες αλλαγές ανάμεσα στους χαρακτήρες αν δεν παίζεις coop, με απλούς γρίφους που δε θα προβληματίσουν. Δεν πιστεύω ότι θα χάσει το χρόνο του κάποιος παίζοντας το και αφού το έχει δώσει το + ας του ρίξουν τουλάχιστον μια ματιά όσοι το έχουν.
